25's that fear no gravel

5

Fear no gravel, tough and dependable, been rolling on a set of these this summer, all my friends are riding gravel bikes, I have the confidence to track them anywhere but soft sand with these tires and they have withstood the test, great product at an unbeatable price

Conti 5000

5

I have use Conti 4000's for 3 years and now on 5000's for 1 + year. Both are excellent tires. I have found Continental bike tires to be smooth, durable, and the best ride quality of tires I have used in 15 years of cycling at between 3k and 5k per year. The 5000's can be had at an also slightly lower price when shopping around.

Consistent Performance

5

The 5000s continue the 'heritage' of the 4000. Smooth, puncture resistant and good wear characteristics...end of.

Inaccurate sizing

4

I have exclusively run Continental tires on my bikes for more years than I can remember and think they are the best tire made. Because of that history, I purchased 2 sets of the twin packs in 25mm to replace GP4000's in the same size. I measured the width of the GP4000's prior to removal from the existing wheelsets. They measured approximately 26.5mm at 80psi. I re-measured after mounting the GP5000's. They measured approximately 23.7mm at 80psi. I'm unsure of the source of the width discrepancy, but all four of these tires have been measurably narrower than the previous tires, and less than the labeled size. A friend just made a similar purchase, but ordered the 28mm size. His 25mm GP4000's measured 28.2mm on his wheelset, but the new 28mm GP5000's measured 27mm on the same wheels. Again, less than the labeled size. That is frustrating when you want a particular width to experience a particular ride quality. To address another persons review concerning PBK and shipping. I received my tires in the US within 3 days of the order being completed and shipped. Very happy with shipping speed.

Used to be Perfect

4

A step back from gp 4000. They are as fast as 4000, weight same, same great puncture resistance everything Perfect apart... After not even whole season of use they look like 4000 after 3years. They wear much, much, quicker probably germans noticed how good 4000 was so they made new ones with with softer rubber and main goal to wear and tear them asap so you'll be looking for another ones.

Great Fast Summer Tires

5

I love these tires for my summer rides as their fast and nibble. So far no flats and I love the 28mm as they give me confidence in my cornering.

Contis are great probikekit are very slow

4

Great tyre! They look great. Unfortunately, I forgot how painfully slow probikekit is at delivering. Every single time they are outside the estimated time frame and consistently a week slower than wiggle. Don’t bother until they sort it out, I forgot it’s been such a long time since my last order for that reason.
