Clip In Challenge

Be prepared for a learning experience if you are switching from SPD's to SPD-SL's. After 400 miles, I am still struggling to clip in. Maybe I am just a slow learner. Anyway, I bought these SPD-SL's because my new Sidi's with the Millennium 3 sole are not compatible with the SPD's I have been using on the road since 2002 . For me: 1) These pedals offer no weight advantage over my Shimano A-520 pedals 2) While the cleat footprint is much larger than the SPD, I feel no difference and still get hot spots in hot weather. 3) They are three times more expensive than the A-520's. 4) They are a challenge to clip in, for me anyway. The pedals appear to be well made, are less Freddish than the A-520's, and the cleats are easier to walk in than SPD's, but that's about all I can say for them.

Super wide platform and silky bearings

Really impressed with these pedals, I bought them after buying some R550's and wanted a lighter pedal for my race bike and they don't disappoint. The weight saving over the lower-tier pedals is apparent as soon as the box arrived. Clip action is positive and the platform width is great for someone with size 11 feet such as myself. I moved from Look to Shimano and have been very impressed so far. The finish looks great too.

Great pedals. Look fantastic, Great adjustability, Easy to fit, ride perfectly. Would highly recommend. Especially for the discounted price I got them for 77.99.

Shimano pedals

Purchased a great set of 6800 Shimano Ultegra carbon pedals. Product is exactly what I had been looking for but at PBK for very, very competitive price. Delivery to my door in Canada was was about 15 days...amazing. Great service that will have me return to PBK for more!

I have been interested in these pedals and have been shopping on line for them for a while. Probikekit beat the competions prices' hands down. I needed some clarifications on the order, contacted Probikekit, and they responded within 24 hours,and the delivery came within the estimated time they quoted. So, if service and price are a priority for you when buying, fear not, you're dealing with professionals. As far as the pedals/cleats are concerned, I will follow up with another review, once this miserable Montreal winter is over and I can get out for a ride. I ride Shimano components without any issues, and I don't expect any in this case either.
