Quality, lightweight solid pedals5
Bought this as a change from the mtb/touring style Shimano a520 spd pedals to the road Shimano spd-sl type. There is the weight reduction; not a big deal but really wanted to see what the difference is. Cannot comment about stiffness as the new road shoe is a lot stiffer but the feel is that the spd-sl ultegra pedal and cleat system is a lot more secure. A lot less float and the wider engagement base seems to provide a stable platform although the old pedals also have some form of base for support. Other than that, the pedals have been durable have ridden all weather without any maintenance and still rotates smoothly.Report this review
great light weight and strong pedals. Easy to fit and adjust - very comfortable on long rides.Report this review
I had been riding using older Look pedals. The Shimano PD-6800 pedals are terrific. Wide sure-footed, secure lock-in, quick release, and light weight. They are awesome pedals made to do the job, day after day, month after month.Report this review
Best value for money in the entire shimano pedal range full stop.Report this review
Superior, light weight. These cleats come alive & show you what you're made of when packing punches into your crank.
