Excellent tubes

Love these with vittoria and veloflex tires. Roll beautifully. Latex tubes lose pressure faster than butyl so need to be inflated more frequently. No big deal. Just something to know.

lovely ride

These ride nicely, softer feel than butyl, lighter, more comfortable and probably roll better- save you a couple of watts. They may be less puncture prone- I've done about 1000 miles with no punctures but I tend not to get many anyway. They look very well made and the valves look smarter on your wheels. On the minus side they lose about 10psi in 24 hours and are more difficult to fit being very floppy, also more expensive.

Quality Latex Tube

Just a nice, high quality product from a respected manufacturer for a decent price. Hard to complain.

latex tubes

These Michelin Latex Tubes are amongst the very best tubes I have ridden. They provide exception feedback from the road, save a few watts of power, and are very responsive during cornering and handling. Highly recommend this item to train and race on.

No good for heavy braking down hill I fact I would say dangerous

2

Purchased these inner tubes for the Etape Du Tour for the light weight going UP hill and they were great until you have to come down the other side. Two high speed blow outs because of over heating rims due to heavy braking , in short they just can't handle that kind of ride but would be fine for any other event that doesn't require lots of braking.

Great if......

These really do have a fantastic feel IF you use them on a high end, supple and light tire. I am using them on Michelin Pro 4s and I can feel a difference. I would not spend the extra on my commuter bike

These are nice tubes. Light and supple, they pair well with the Vittoria Open Corsa CX tires I picked up here. What else can I say; They are tubes and hold air well. Don't bleed off air too fast or too much when they sit.

So so

I bought the product having read the reviews and I must say I am disappointed. The ride does not feel smoother than my previous bontrager tube I had in wheels and they were half the price from action bikes.

Supple

Occasionally I buy latex tubes, but they are more expensive, but they do ride smoother and the bike handles better. These tubes are high quality and I expect lots of miles on them

An easy inexpensive way to improve ride quality

5

FACT! latex tubes improve ride quality compared to butyl tubes. For a few pounds more you can trade up to a better ride - well worth the spend. Yes it's true they may be slightly trickier to fit than a heavier butyl tube - be careful not to pinch puncture them on installation. Yes - they do deflate with time, but so what - surely you let pressure out of your best wheels after a ride, then pump them up before next going out with your track pump? Show your riding mates you know what you're doing - buy a pair and give them a try - you won't be sorry
