If you ride a bike regularly, you've had a Clif bar. These are a staple of exercisers everywhere, but they really aren't that great. The texture is chewy and dense and the flavors are just pretty good. There are much better tasting bars available. Clif bars are a reasonable price as far as price per calorie goes, the texture is fine and the flavor is fine. Overall, the bars are fine but I would take something else given the choice.Report this review
I've been using these as a nutritional staple in my diet for the past 5-6 years. They're small and easy to carry in a jersey pocket and dry enough not to make a mess on a ride. While the PB one tastes delicious it's a bit drier compared to the others for me. I love the chocolate chip ones and will continue to use these.Report this review
These energy bars are great for a post-ride pick-me-up. I haven't had a flavour that I haven't enjoyed. My all-time favourite: White Chocolate Macadamia Nut.Report this review
These are a nice change from gels on long rides when you feel like you want real food. I love the chocolate chip, its not overly sweet. We sell these at work and most people buy them just as a snack instead of they're intended purpose.Report this review
The raisin and oat variety is really good, not too dry and gets you through those long rides.
Cliff Bars are pretty much the best tasting energy bars out there. Some of the others taste like tree barks. These I actually look forward to eating. My favourite is the crunchy peanut butter. My friend likes the oatmeal raisin. They are handy for hikes, day trips, a snack when working late, and even as emergency sustenance in the car. I do wish there was a bit more protein.Report this review
I have yet to find a Clif bar that I do not like. They fit easily into a jersey pocket and are a healthy and filling option for food on a ride. A little tricky to open, perhaps, but I remedy that by snipping the wrapper of each bar with scissors to make tearing the package easier. A must carry on long rides.Report this review
Nutrition is as important as any factor when riding. Cliff bars give me that extra needed punch when I need it on my long rides. Oatmeal is my favourite. Cliff Bars, FTW.Report this review
The consistency of the bar makes it difficult to eat, and the chewiness doesn't help either. The taste is just OK, and the bar does give you a needed boost, but it's just so difficult to eat because it's too sweet/ "food-like" in the middle of a ride, so I prefer a gel.Report this review
Cliff bar is always a great bet for a nice long ride, just not so great for racing or before a race. They are a bit hard for me to digest and make my stomach hurt.Report this review
