Good autumn overshoes

4

Last time I saw clothing like this, there was a gimp mask too.... but actually these are good overshoes, kept the weekend's drizzle off over a three hour ride. However, I don't think these would last a downpour. They aren't fleece lined, so ideal for when its mild. The only reason not to give 5* is that they are hard to get on and off, if this was done repeatedly (e.g. commuting) I imagine the lifetime of the overshoes would be short

Pretty good overall

Good quality Castelli kit, however the covers are not breathable so are great for cool rides.
The fabric is water resistant rather than waterproof, so not suitable for heavy downpours.
Overall, they look great and perform well.

Keeps the rain off

Pretty decent at keeping water out on wet days. I ended up with two pairs and the L is really too small for a 44 Sidi, needed the XL. Even at that size they are a struggle to get on, you are afraid of tearing them but they are tougher than they first feel. As others have said they are a bit fragile and get knocked around at the toe. But very effective on cooler wet days teamed with woollen socks.

Looks amazing, performs ok.

These are water resistant but not water proof for rainy days. They do great for slight rain but awful in downpours. They are extremely thin so please don't mistake these for a winter shoe cover. Additionally, as mentioned above, they are a bit hard to get over your shoes and they do seem frail. In the end though, they look great and do a reasonable job at water resistance.

Nice product butt .......

Great looking product aesthetically without a doubt, but a challenge to put on with my Sidi ergo 2 shoes(43 size) (my DMT shoes where better), had to re- order from a medium to a large even though the chart recommended medium (42-43),

I needed the large ( 43-44 onwards)to even think about zipping them up which was still a challenge, once zipped properly they where okay.

Stretching them is a worry as the stitching looks fragile. I have not tested them with cold weather as yet, nor rain. Tthey look very aero though and I'm sure they are .

Good product, but mainly for those wet days

...probably for those TT days or torrential rain - Looks good, but won't breath. So good for TT day, or for a day of torrential rain, but will make your feet sweat up very quickly...and a bit pricey to walk around in (yes you will damage them walking about, no matter how much care you take! Nicely made though and for their purpose they work very well (very hugging fit).

High-quality, water-resistant overshoes for autumn/spring and milder winter conditions- 4/5 stars

The lightweight, stretchy fabric is a much more supple than normal you’re hardly aware you’re wearing them – and the polyurethane face is waterproof, unlike standard neoprene. Rain and spray can slowly soak in through the seam that joins the upper and lower sections – it’s not taped – but your feet will stay drier than normal in these. Even if water does get in, they still keep your feet reasonably warm, like most other overshoes.
