5Quite simply THE best and warmest winter tights I have tried/worn/own. I had been struggling and suffering this winter with my inadequate 'winter' riding kit and desperately needed warmer tights to see me through. I purchased winter tights from two other brands, one of which proclaimed their tights to be 'deep winter' tights......almost needless to say that they were not up to the manufacturers claims - at least not for me who really does feel the cold. Part human, part reptile! Now having spent almost £250 without resolving the issue I discovered Morvelo and espied their deep winter tights and oh what luck they were in the sales! Naturally I was cautious but as there is only one way of finding out if the tights would keep me warm I decided to purchase a pair. I was not disappointed. The tights are of excellent quality, extremely well made with not a stitch or seam out of place. They fitted me perfectly - the tights are a medium size and I am 5'11" with 32" leg and waist and 42" chest. I especially liked the high back and waist and the elasticated chest straps sat flat against me and gave just the right amount of stretch and tension to keep them firmly in place over my base layer. The seat pad was very comfortable with everything in the right place and nothing where it shouldn't be. Time to try them on the bike and with a suitably cold and frosty morning looming outside (-1°c and a 12mph wind) they were certainly going to have to live up to their name to keep me warm. I'm pleased to say that they did just that. After an hours riding with frost still on the ground and the puddles iced over my knees, hips and groin were still warm (areas that I have previously found to get very cold) and I was able to complete my ride (another hour) in complete comfort. The seat pad was perfect all ride with no discomfort and the windproof fabric did exactly as its name suggests. Absolutely no wind chill. I cannot, as yet, attest to the water repellent abilities of the fabric as my ride was without precipitation, but I am confident that when the time comes I will be kept dry as well as warm. The holy grail of deep winter tights has finally been found! Thank you Morvelo for an exceptional product that really can be called deep winter tights. Highly, highly recommended and I shall be purchasing further items from Morvelo in due course on the strength of their tights.

4Good quality, construction good, excellent pad. Very tight compression around the legs and hip, so be aware of proper sizing. I normally wear large in Assos and Castelli, medium in Pearl Izumi. These are pretty tight

Comfortable and good...
5Comfortable and good use of reflective highlights. Inclusion of reflective strip on rear of right leg is a good touch, although this effect would be reduced in any country that drives on the right hand side of the road. Cannot speak for warmth except for walking around the house (it's summer in Melbourne, Aus).
