This is perfect light for those early morning training rides in winter, very bright and adequate for pitch dark/night riding. It's battery performance is great and for my longer 4-5 hr rides I can have it on full power when it's dark and switch to eco/low power for the rest of the ride. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a quality light.

This is a great light for the price. The battery life is excellent, charge time reasonable and the beam/light output super bright and quite acceptable on lower levels. the strobe function is on a lower lumen output and flash frequency lower than expected. The mounting mechanism is the same as other Cateye lights and is easy to mount/dismount. stays tight and allows enough movement to slightly adjust direction when on the move. I am only using for road riding and it certainly seems ideal for that use case. would highly recommend to others.

Outstanding Light!

After doing a lot of research and going through several different options, I decided to settle on the Cateye Volt 1200 and give it a try. There's no need to talk about the power output by this light since anything beyond 700Lumens is more than what someone might need for road riding. With that said, the reasons I chose such a powerful light for my road riding are simple: battery life & amazing PBK price! Extremely well-built light, incredible battery life, a replaceable battery option, waterproof, amazing bracket and great price. What else could anyone need? The only reason I didn't give this a 5 Stars rating is because its size might be a no-no for some. In my opinion, function wins over style in this case, especially since you'll be using your light when it's dark. ;)
