Great Tubeless Wheelset

5

These wheels were shipped from Europe and received at my door in a reasonable time frame (a little over a week). The wheels are light and the hubs are great. I was a little worried about going tubeless on my road wheels but after making the decision, I paired these with Hutchinson Fusion 5 tires. I had no issues getting the tires on the rims. This is a nice combination because the tires "lock in" to the rim after you get air in them the first time. However adding the sealant was difficult (and messy). Therefore I decided to get valve's with removable cores. I chose the Stans Universal 55mm Tubeless Road Valve stems. Using these with the Stans syringe made it much easier (and cleaner) to insert the sealant. I've only got about 50 miles on the wheels so far but have no complaints.

I have a set of 4.4 Envy with C K ceramic hubs and the c 24 are so close to same performance as my Envy and i could have bought four pairs of c 24 as my Envy they just don't look as cool

Very good wheels

I have had many set of wheels including carbon and aluminum. This set paired with the Fusion 3 tires are excellent. Super light, good acceleration, climb easy. The hub is very smooth and spins easy. Highly recommended.

Best Wheels

5

I have had a set of these wheels for 6 months and they have been better than any set, by far, that I have tried. Was able to increase my average speed by 3 miles per hour. Makes climbing hills a breeze!!!

True & strong

5

Typical Shimano quality: true out of the box and ready to ride immediately. Noticeable improvement in ride quality, acceleration and climbing.

Pro Bike Kit to the RESCUE!!

5

I was due to leave for the Alps in 3 days and snapped a spoke in my rear Zipp 202. Desperate to find some climbing wheels, I found a pair of Dura Ace C24 TL (tubeless ready) at a fantastic price with Pro Bike Kit. Their fast delivery service was really good value, and I got my wheels in time, despite it being a bank holiday weekend! Thank you so much guys! I ran the wheels with Hutchinson Atom tubeless tyres and was blown away by the ride quality. I'm not a light rider so previous wheels (including the Zipps) suffered from lateral movement and rubbing on the brake blocks. These wheels are incredibly stiff but the not at the expense of comfort. I'm a complete convert to tubeless now. It seems to be the perfect balance between rolling resistance, grip and comfort. I usually run 23mm tyres at 115psi, but ran these at 105psi and they were perfect. I imagine this is the way tubs feel, but with these you get the best of both worlds - puncture protection from the latex fluid, plus the ability to put an inner tube in there to get you home if needed. In 3 days I climbed (and descended!) over 8,000m and so far can't fault these wheels.

Ace Wheels

Finally took the plunge and splashed out on a pair of Dura Ace C24 Clinchers. Price was right and so was the timing. Just back after fitting them with new chain and cassette. WOW! Massive improvement over the Ultegra 7900 wheelset and my Bonti Race X Lite's. They roll superbly, are light yet very stiff so climb effortlessly. However, the braking performance is outstanding - that was the biggest wow factor. That was until I looked at the times for some regular climbs. Took 10% out of the climb time instantly on one short sharp climb and then equalled the time into a headwind on a much longer climb. Highly recommend these wheels as they preform very well and come with the usual Shimano quality that one expects. The downside is getting regular tyres onto the Tubeless Rims. A tricky task to avoid nicking the tube. You need strong levers.
