I've tried a lot of RnR gear and I'm a longtime fan of their Blue Extreme lube, unfortunately everyone is out of stock on it so I had to try the Gold. I'm glad I did! Great lube, usual easy straightforward application process (best on a new or cleaned, and thoroughly dried chain). brings out any muck left behind by the cleaning process. Wipe, ride, enjoy!! I prefer a night time application then final clean in the morning, but it works either way. My drive-train collects less dirt, is cleaner, rust free, noise free and runs perfectly; wet, dry, on road or off road. In the very worst of conditions I think the Blue may be the best choice but there's little in it and I've had no issues with this off road in muddy wet conditions. Also as it runs pretty much dry, if you touch the chain you don't end up with one of them ridiculous chain tattoos! Downsides are, slightly wasteful application process and cost but bear in mind you'll never need a chain cleaning product again as this cleans and lubes (perfectly), and the saving in drive-train wear means you're probably saving a bit of cash. Hopefully they'll start stocking the 16oz bottles again soon!

Great lube

Great lube keeps the chain clean - it's doesn't go black quickly at all . Seems to protect the chain well. Easy to apply . Even cleans the final remains of any dirt from the chain if required . Not the quietest but will put up for that for the other benefits.

I now use only this lube for road and mountain bikes. I've found it to be very effective in all conditions and it leaves no residue to pick up dirty that wears chains etc.

not quite gold

I had high expectations for rock n roll gold lube that it hasn't met, but maybe no lube was going to meet. Pros: Chain stays very clean and initial lubrication feels excellent. Cons: Chain gets that dry chain sound where you can here all the rollers rattling fairly quickly in poor conditions and after a couple of hours in nice conditions. The duration seems to be improving with continued use, but time will tell.

Excellent lube. Best I've used for chain cleaning. Keeps chain very clean and looking brand new. You do have to get in the habit of cleaning your chain though every 2 weeks or every time after rain (whichever is sooner). If you do this it will only take 15 minutes to clean your chain and bike. I use this in combination with the 'Muck Off' degreaser wipes. Follow the instructions. This is not like normal lube.

This chain lube moved the 21st century closer to the 22nd century. Drive-trains look like they just came out of the box. The well known smoothness and quietness that Rock "N" Roll Lubes are known all over the world for, just went to a new level.

I have to admit I was a bit sceptical but since the price was low, I would give it a go. I will never go back to normal chain lubrics. At firsk it really cleaned up a lot of mess from my chain. And it seems to wear less on the chain. Hopefully the winter edition works just as good.

Best chain lube i have used in the last 25 years!!!

My brother recommended this lube to me about 5 years ago. I ride a bit of road but mainly MTB in Ireland,wet and muddy conditions are normal here. My chain has never been cleaner or lasted as long on the MTB as it has using this lube. Runs smooth, no squeeks or sounds from the drive train. Just ordered another bottle today!!! Wipe off excess and keep bottle at room temperature or it can solidify if it gets too cold. Totally recommend it 100%. MAX
