Bought along with several other bits of mech to overhaul upgrade aging original apex stuff its like a new bike more precise quicker smoother just need to save for matching shifters to complete the job

Easy to set up

5

Set up of this derailleur was easy straight from the box, it was just about right from the start, requiring only minor tweaks. Sram derailleurs seem to require much less cable tension than Shimano ones, so bear that in mind when fitting. Indexing is smooth and crisp, a few hundred miles down the road and it's still perfect. Sram stuff looks great, with a hard-wearing anodised finish and etched graphics. The carbon lower cage looks great too.

Sram Force Rear Mech

5

Bought this Sram Force Rear Mech as an exact replacement for the one I have had as original on my Focus which has done 6 thousand miles and was still going smooth & strong until sand got into the bottom jockey wheel bearing. This caused bearing seizure and the mech ended up thro the back wheel. The mech never needed any adjustment from new and never missed a gear change (up or down). Probably would of done another 6 thousand miles but for the sand. Just had to buy exact same mech due to its reliability and very easy set up. Excellent rear mech.

mix and match

5

I installed a mix and match Sram Force and Red group on my 2nd bike (main bike uses all Campy). While different, I really love the Sram stuff. The shifting is positive and inspires confidence. When my Campy stuff wears out - I'll be going with Sram on the other bike, as well.

Excellent RD

5

I upgraded my entire shifting system from Shimano 5600 to Force and have to say that SRAM is light years beyond Shimano in terms of shifting performance and ease of use. The setup was simple, the shifting worked with nearly zero adjustments out of the box. You will not be disappointed by this RD.
