Rear mech upgrade
5Bought this to finish off full upgrade from Sora group set Difference is clear With the narrow chain as well 2 extra gears and a far more efficient gear change Highly recommend if your upgradeing

Caveat emptor
4I bought this to replace an Ultergra 6800 11 speed rear derailleur. Be aware that the revised pivot on the R 8000 makes it very difficult to remove the rear wheel. It’s a faf in a workshop and will be interesting at the roadside next time I have a puncture. Otherwise, it’s a great derailleur. Hear changes are crisp and precise.

4A little hard to set up, as the barrel adjuster is odd (longtime shimano user and I have a r9100 version, so I know what I am doing). Once you do dial it in though, I have had no issues whatsoever.

Awesome Derailleur
5Arguably the best mechanical rear derailleur you can buy. Fantastic shifting performance, the new cage is definitely a little more responsive than older designs. Handles a large cog, great for the larger range of 11 speed cassettes, helps a lot on hill climbs! Works with older 11 speed (5800, 6800) front derailleurs and cranksets, so don't hesitate to upgrade. Also it looks great, way sharper than the 6800 RD. I'm happy with it!
