4The watch is great for exercise and steps and has a good sleep tracker application. I use it for Golf as well and so far at local club has worked well but fiddly when having to load other courses compared to a Golf Buddy or similar, it also does not reset itself on 9 hole courses which is a pain. It has an alarm which is handy if you want a watch that wakes you up rather than a radio or phone noise. It's a good quality watch, has a long battery life and has many applications I have not used yet at a reasonable price from these guys, certainly a great improvement on the old fitbits etc! I would recommend this watch.

5We have now purchased 2 Garmin Vivoactive HR's, from ProBikeKit. Both my husband and I love our Garmins. 4Works quite well however the HR is inaccurate especially at low intensity efforts.

5Optical heart rate works as advertised, only when in gym or rowing (using arm muscles does cause it play up) Running the HR is comparable to my RS400 Polar Chest strap readings. GPS works wells. Activity and sleep tracking is good, accurate sleep identification etc. Overall I am very happy with the device.

5This is my first smart watch, so comparisons with others may be limited to the personal use of this watch and my research on other similar smart watches. I am happy with the functions available and the connectivity with my mobile phone. Using the watch when running does challenge me to do better, historical data for comparison does help. Garmin has also made available apps to personalize watch, looking forward to that. Strap could be made a bit more robust, looks a feels a bit thin. Other than that issue, I enjoy using the watch.
