New for Old

My old Garmin heart rate strap died after 8 years so I got this as a replacement. The transmitter is bulkier than the old one and the strap feels flimsier time will tell. it does however work with my 820 and ANT sensor for Zwift so happy days.

Another great product from Garmin

The strap fits comfortable with no slippage. I have 3 things paired with my Lezyne Super GPS computer: the Garmin heart rate monitor, Garmin speed monitor, and Garmin cadence monitor. The speed and cadence monitor gets recognized almost immediately by the computer. The heart rate monitor, for some reason take about 30 seconds before I get feedback on my computer. However, once paired the feedback is accurate and I have never lost a signal. I also like that fact that the monitor detaches from the strap for easy cleaning.

Comfortable and seems durable

If you're like me, you've worn out number of standard elastic chest straps. You know what I mean: the simple elastic band that soon stretches, frays, and heads for the next world. I have higher expectations for the Garmin Premium strap. It seems made of a more durable material, is suitably and comfortably reinforced, and yet remains light and wearable. Time will tell the story of durability, but meantime I am a happy user. My one complaint is the fastening mechanism. It's a lightweight metal hook and fabric loop system that fastens under the right arm. The mechanism itself is fine, but its location is not ideal for me. It makes the strap awkward to put on. A very trivial matter all things considered.

Comfortable to wear (hardly know it's on after a few minutes) providing heart-rate data to a paired device.
