I have had the Edge 500 for about a month now. It generally works well and is reliable. There have been a few minor irritations however:
1. Even though the barometric altimeter is supposedly more accurate than one that relies on GPS data, in my experience, the altitude readings for the Edge have tended to underestimate the correct altitude by approximately 70m - even after I have entered various calibration points and despite the weather conditions.
2. The lap/reset button hasn't always worked without repeated forceful presses.
Otherwise, it has worked faultessly, has a good battery life and the bike mounts have been easy set up and use.
