Good braking is important
5With the world going to disks brakes and being committed to caliper brakes on my frame and wheel set any improvement in braking even the marginal improvement upgrading from Ultegra is worthwhile. And I was keen to get back as much of the braking performance as possible that I had lost going to a carbon wheel set. Having said all that the improvement is hardly notable, but good braking is important.

It's Dura ace!
5Usual superb Shimano quality, coupled with Dura ace lightness. Measurably better braking strength and feel than the Tektro caliper it replaced. And look georgous. Could only afford because of probikekits low price...thanks

What else'd you expect? It is Dura-Ace.
5Great modulation that fits my direct-mount frame. If you're willing to pay the price tag, you won't regret it. If you don't want to spend this much, you can get similar silky braking from the Ultegra group. Sram lost out on my cash by announcing a DM brake days after I purchased some DA brakes.

Dura Ace r9100 rear brake
5I had recently upgraded my road bike to the latest Dura Ace r9100 mechanical drive train and had a 9100 brake caliper on the front. The rear caliper was Dura Ace 7900 and wanted to have the same lever feel for both brakes. Now both match, I am noticing considerable stiffness and confidence in both brakes. Was considering the Cane Creek eebrakeset, but not worth the expense compared to the 9100 brakes, in my opinion. Best mass-manufactured brake set out there now.
