Race on a Saturday, ride on a Sunday and commute Monday

This great value and highly adaptable Kinesis 5T disc frame is as at home hacking along to work or powering through the mud at your local Cyclocross Race.

Both bearings are ‘ACB’, meaning ‘Angular Contact Bearings’. The head-tube seat angle is 45º.

The headset drops into a tapered seat in the head tube and is tensioned using a headset tensioner within the fork steerer. Tensioning the headset centres it on the taper and prevents any play. The larger lower bearing allows a tapered steerer and larger crown. This gives sharper response and helps reduce flex under braking.

Kinesis 7005 Double Butted

Our 7005 alloy tubing is 5-10% stronger than 6061 tube, by most measures. Double-butted tubes are specially drawn so that they are thicker at the ends of the tubes, where they are welded and stresses are highest, and thinner in the middle to minimize weight.

aStay

Unique to our CX frames, an oversize driveside chainstay allows us to keep the back end light and stiff.

Ergo Top Tube

The 'Ergo’ top tube makes it more comfortable for carrying over longer distances. The tube is also wider where it meets the seat tube, helping to resist twisting forces along the front triangle.
