Bike bells generally look & sound a bit ugly. But why? What if they looked sexy & sounded like an angel playing a glockenspiel? A bell with a beautiful tone, but also a remarkable style and choice of materials that embodies a rider's personality.
The new Oi Luxe is luxe in every sense of the word. It's CNC machined ringer and brass dinger, stitched 'vegan' leather shim and metal injection moulded stainless steel, make it a pleasure to have on your handlebars.
The Small Oi Luxe fits 22.2mm bars.
The Large Oi Luxe fits 23.8 - 31.8mm bars e.g. drop bar road bikes and some cruiser / commuters.
- The Look: - Where bells usually protrude up or out, Oi Luxe doesn't. It appears to hover around the handle bars. In one sense, it's discreet. But in another, it stands out as unrecognisable.
- The Sound - We tested numerous prototypes to get the perfect pitch, length of ring, and volume. With a CNC-machined brass dinger, the strike of the bell is firm and fast, allowing a good balance of volume and longevity of sound.
- CNC Machined.
- Distinctive tone.
- Low profile.
- Small - 22.2mm handlebars
- Large 23.8 - 31.8mm handlebars
- Weight: 46.5g.

Pretty good, but not in the rain
Pretty good bell for the price. Looks good. I installed on my gravel bike. The bell doesn't work well in very wet weather. Water on the bell seemed to dull the tone? I'll move it to be road bike - tend to use that in better weather.
Smart, tidy, solid. A little quiet on first ring
I was looking for a bell to put on my gravel bike to tidy things up and give a little more space on the bars and this really does do that. It's a smart looking bell in its own right, well made and tidy and it has a nice 'ring' to it too, not the harsh ring you usually find. My only 'complaints' for want of a better word, it's possibly a little quiet (don't over tighten the fixing as this really will dull the ring) when you first ring it, though I find a double ring seems to catch the attention of people easy enough. The other issue is, to mount it next to the stem, you have to mount it facing 'backwards' otherwise the chime piece ands up with cables resting against it and will dumb down the sound.
It's nice, but not special
I like Knog stuff - usually neat and well thought out. Typically this means a small premium. This bell almost follows the same pattern. It is a neat design and looks pretty. However, you pay a significant premium. The discount that ProBike offer (and these guys delivered it so quick - as ever - bif thumbs up) make it the only time the bell is worth considering (in my view)
Sweet sound of safety!
The melodic sound of this bell really catches attention on the trails. The construction quality is great. If you had the originally plastic version (which of course failed; horrible design!), do not be deterred! This version is what the first should have been.
