Campagnolo introduces the first aerodynamic Disc Brake wheel with a 33 mm profile. Each component of this wheel has been optimized in the wind tunnel in order to improve its aerodynamic performance. It therefore delivers multiple benefits that can be noted on different routes, from the most demanding of sprints to relaunching after a bend, while still ensuring efficiency on the flat and now also suitable for the hardest uphill finishes! It is a turning point in the all-rounder segment: a truly multi-purpose wheel.

The wheel features carbon rims with a unidirectional aerodynamic finish, new aerodynamic aluminium hubs, and the ceramic USB cup-and-cone bearing system: every design choice has been made with a view to optimising performance. The profile of the rim, which has an internal diameter of 19 mm, corresponds perfectly with 23 mm, 25 mm and 28 mm tyres. In addition, with the 2-Way Fit version, Campagnolo offers its tried-and-tested technology with full compatibility with clincher and tubeless tyres. While the key purpose of these wheels is to deliver extreme performance, safety is also guaranteed thanks to the G3 spoking system with double spokes on the left of the front wheel, to ensure balanced and safe braking in all conditions.

Game Changer

Just wanted to give a little background. My previous bike a full carbon frame with a mechanical groupset on a set of Campagnolo Zonda's, I out rolled everyone that I| road with that have much better bikes and Carbon wheels. That said, that bike had an incident which left it not road worthy. I tried to stay away from the electronic shifters and carbon wheels, I'm old school. My dealer explained why I need to make the change, so Electronic shifters, Disk brakes here we go. Now as for the wheels, I couldn't reuse my Zonda's and like all other store bought bikes the wheel set has to be upgraded, they are just too slow. I was looking at a new set of Zonda's, again old school, I was staying away from Carbon wheels. Since I switch my whole thinking, what the hey, go all the way and get Carbon wheels. Why did I select the 33 WTO's, cross winds was my only reason for going with the lowest profile and this set has not disappointed me. My wife needed to get as much of an advantage as possible, she has the Zonda Disk wheel set, with remorse I switch for her convenience. She has noticed the difference in every respect, rolling resistance, down hill, up hill and flats. The cross winds on the 33 for her was NOT a concern as the Zonda's rim depth is only millimeters smaller. Back to the old school mentality I always ran 700cx23, the 33 WTO on 28's at 90PSI, OMG, what a ride. I would suggest a set of these for all rider types, yes they are pricy compared to the Zonda's but well worth the money. Yes I will be buying a second set to replace the Zonda's I'm riding now, just need to save.
