The Campagnolo Bora One 50 carbon wheelset are hard to beat, in more ways than one. With the same world-tour winning design and technology as top-of-the-range professional-level wheels, they are a lightweight, durable, aero wheelset that offers the same race-winning performance as some carbon wheelsets twice the price.
The 50mm deep carbon rim design means these wheels maximise aerodynamics and efficiency, making them perfect for flat and rolling terrain. Thankfully, however, aerodynamic gain doesn’t come at the cost of lightweight. At just 1485 grams a set, the Bora One 50's certainly won't weigh you down when the road points upward. Due to the larger 24.2mm outer rim width, this wheelset can also accommodate much larger tyres than many other performance aero wheels, further ensuring that comfort and grip can be maximised out on the road. In this clincher-compatible version, these wheels ensure essential maintenance is as easy as possible – even for those with minimal technical knowledge.
Thanks to the AC3 (All Conditions Carbon Control) constructed brake track, the Campagnolo Bora Ones go a long way to fixing the reputation that carbon wheels have for poor braking. When used with the proprietary brake pads provided, these wheels offer up to 40% better braking performance in wet weather and 20% better braking performance in dry conditions.
These performance rims are combined with a class-leading set of large flange alloy hubs, which are filled with USB sealed ceramic bearings to guarantee a smooth spin, maximised rider efficiency and increased power transfer. These high-quality hubs are laced to the carbon rim by hand with bladed alloy spokes, 18 on the front and 21 on the rear. This results in an exceptionally durable wheelset — perfect for heavy riders and rougher roads.

Great price on these wheels Roll very smooth Took on a tortuous ride where the county was filling highway cracks with tar Had to “jump” over about 30 cracks Approx 10 cm wide to not get covered in tar Not an issue carbon and spokes held up well Have put about 600 km on them so far and really impressed with the smoothness of the hubs They look awesome as well
New step of cycling!
Years before I was thinking that groupset is the most important part of bicycle. And after the 5 years on Fulcrum Quattro (also one of the best for price/quality) I bought new Campa Bora One... I can't describe my feelings about them. It's like you are flying on da bike ) At least 25-30% of increasing my speed with less using of power. Thanks ProBikeKit for such an amazing price for this wheelset )
Campy Bora One 50 Clincher
Although I got prostrated for a long 30 day delivery, maybe due to pandemic, still my excitement is there while I’m doing unboxing of my very first carbon wheelset Campanolo Bora One 50. Compared to my old wheelset, it’s a big huge difference on the look, comfort, stiffness, very smooth to ride and aerodynamic performance increased the speed. So to conclude, I love it.
Smooth as silk
Bought these for my birthday in March and have only ridden them about 5 times so far. I replaced an old set of Zonda wheels which have been rock solid for over 10 years. But these Bora One's have a smoothness and lightness to them that I could not get with my Zonda's, even when new. The Bora One's are my first carbon wheel set so I cannot compare to others. They came packaged with quick release skewers, valve extenders, and wheel bags; everything top notch. Campy spared nothing in providing everything you need to start riding on these. So far I am very pleased with the performance and lightness of these wheels. They are extremely smooth feeling and roll almost effortlessly, thanks to the ceramic bearings. They are much lighter than my Zonda's, of course, and I could feel that right after putting them on. ProBikeKit had a great price with free delivery, so decided to pull the trigger on these. They answered all of my questions before my purchase and their delivery time was acceptable. I hope to add more to this review as I ride more this Spring and Summer.
Bora One Clinchers 50
Wheels arrived faster then suggested. Well secured in a cardboard box. All advertised parts provided including two wheel bags. Have yet to ride on these but they appear true and in mint condition. I chose the "Bright" option. A high gloss finish. Look fantastic! 5 star so far...(however I need to ride them)
We received these wheels well before the date promised, they are just as the description and my husband is absolutely in love with them
after Racing in the pro field for 8 years and trying so many wheels, absolutely nothing compares to Campagnolo wheels. One and Ultra hardly any difference. But the WoW factor on performance and esthetics are if the higher caliber. Once on Campy wheels, you will never ride something else. JUST DO IT AND GET THEM.
Bora Wheels are fast and smooth also turns head they look great
awesome set of wheels
To be fair, I haven't put a ton of miles on these wheels yet, as I bought them at the end of the race season, but the miles I've put on them make me smile. I have a bike that I've put together from all high end select parts. I had built it with Fulcrum Racing Zero wheels, which have been great, but figured adding aero with no wt penalty would be great. These wheels feel smoother than my Zeros, while still firm, and riding them in 20+ MPH winds is very manageable. They do make a fair amount of noise on heavier braking but it is a trade I am willing to make. In short, they look incredible, tires mount easily, they feel great on the road, and seem manageable in winds. I'll have to wait until the spring races to see if they give me the extra advantage I am hoping for.
Simply the best
Everything about these wheels scream quality. The stickers are not stickers, logos are printed on the rim. Brake track is nicely machined with grooves for water dispersion. Hubs with USB ceramics are smooth as silk. QRs are the best in the business, the brake pads work extremely well and they come with very nice wheel bags. The wheels are a huge improvement over my Zonda C17s and also my Zipp Firecrest wheels from the past. They are extremely stiff and offer astonishing power transfer to the ground compared to the two wheels above (Zipps were incredibly soft in comparison 808 and Zondas feel sluggish). Despite this they are also comfortable as I just took them on a 130Km sweltering ride around the city (Pothole central and at 35c). Carbon rims are notorious for generating a ton of heat under braking. My Zipps with SwissStop Yellow pads would be boiling after a few hard city descents (You have no choice other than to brake hard in these situations). They were tubular so no risk of a tube blowing up. By comparison this Boras run WAY cooler. They are barely hot to the touch after some hard descending and rolling. Which means the new resin and pads are working wonderfully together. Buying these wheels I had a concern that I wouldn't notice enough of a difference to justify the price. The truth is the difference is huge, I wouldn't go back to training wheels unless the conditions outside are really bad. Service from ProBikeKit is simply the best, definitely on of my top cycle shops!
