Perfect intro level pedals!
4So to keep things simple, this are really good basic entry level road bike pedals. my recommendation is, if you want to start using clipping shoes and pedals, these are a good option to get started. they are Unisex, used them myself but install the same ones on my wifes bike and she got the hang of the system really quick!

4White pedals matched my bike perfectly. Pedals came with cleats which is a great deal. These pedals will serve you well.

Work as well as Ultegra SPD-SL, just heavier!
5I have carbon Ultegra SPD's and bought these because I needed new cleats - the cost of these pedals + cleats was only a bit more than just cleats! They're surprisingly heavy, but they'll certainly last! These are on my second bike - work just as well and nice to have them available for spares should I have issues with my other set.

Shimano Clips
4I had small steel mountain biking clips prior to this purchase. Both versions are fine however I find these clips much lighter and I am not as timid by walking through the house with the Shimano clips. Eventually it seems that the clips may be replaced however the pedals are much better than the other version that I once had.

shimano R540 bargain
5These were my first SPD Pedals so can not compare to other pedals. What I can tell is that these were a very good price compared to other stockists of these pedals, I saved over £15 compared to the high street. These pedals have made a massive difference compared to traditional pedals for being able to maximise my pedalling power. You will not be disappointed with these pedals for the price. They also arrived very quickly.

good value for money
5Good value for money. The quality is perfect for my cycling level. They're maybe a little heavy but not that much. Finally they look good with my shimano shoes in white.
