Look's brand new Kéo 2 MAX pedal as used by the Tour 2009 winner Alberto Contador and countless others. New for this model is an increased contact surface area and steel wear plate.
At a mere 130g in composite the Kéo 2 MAX is one of the lightest pedals in its category. This has been achieved through the use of a carbon injection process (carbon model) allowing for weight reduction and improved durability.
Particular attention was focused on reliability and provided through features such as: a stainless steel cleat contact area, an oversized axle with dual seals, making this a pedal built to last. The new line of Kéo 2 MAX pedals maintains a low cleat contact height even with the use of a steel oversize axle. The pedal is built with two miniature ball bearings (12mm inner x 18mm outer diameters) and a needle roller bearing. LOOK axles are only approved once they have survived a million cycles at 100 revolutions per minute with a 90kg (198lbs) load at the centre of the pedal and an eccentric rotation (replicating a bump each revolution). This test largely surpasses current standards (reference NF EN 14781). Dual seals help to increase bearing longevity.
Thanks to 14mm of threads on the new LOOK axle, the Q-factor may be extended by 2mm with the use of specific washers available separately. Use of these specific washers results in a Q-factor of 55mm versus the original 53mm.
"Bigger platform and smoother float for Look's updated Kéo pedal..."
Look's ubiquitous Kéo road pedal receives a significant update in the new Kéo 2 MAX, with a wider composite body and co-moulded stainless steel upper plate that lends a more solid feel underfoot and less out-of-plane rocking compared to the original Kéo. When it comes for your mid-ride cafe stop, soft rubber pads on the front and back of the cleats help prevent embarrassing spills on slick floors.

I always use Look pedal. I've tried this pedal for 3 years. but there was no problem so far. Furthermore, It's very simple and easy to reparing and oiling. and the Price is very reasonable I think.Report this review
Purchased these in January 2017 for a new summer bike that. I didn't start using until March. Well after 800 miles these Keo 2 Max Pedals bearings are sounding awfull, knocking with a lot of movement where there shouldn't be any. The bearings on 1 side especially are knackered. I have an older set of basic Keo's purchased 10 years ago which don't sound as worn as these new ones. Very disappointed with these.Report this review
2nd set of these I've bought (damaged the existing ones in a black ice slip/crash...thanks Hackney Council), but nothing about the crashed set made me want to look elsewhere for a new pair. Spring adjustment is beyond simple and they hang well for clipping back in after a stop. Can deal with the extra strains of brakeless fixed gear riding too. Pro Bike Kit service was best in the business as always too!Report this review
Strong and light pedal and easy to clip on! For the value, nothing else comes close to it. Reliability is all every rider wanted!Report this review
I was mooving from SPD to LOOK (finnaly). It is a great upgrade. Pedals are stable and power transfer to pedals is much better. Price was excelent and shipping was super fast.Report this review
i choose white model. it's very light and looking good on my bike. because my bike is also white. but, simple matter is easily getting duty. you might need cleaner for pedal. it feel like hard to get in cleat on pedal then shimano one. i think, it just adapting period. i'll recommend you buy this, if you want fine color & light weight cleat pedal~Report this review
These pedals ship in a retail box with a set of grey cleats. Excellent value and the newer design gives a firmer grip. I increased the cleat tension as they ship on minimum which is ok for first time users. Keep the tension adjustable screw lubed as it's metal into brass and they can seize. PBK price and delivery was very good too.Report this review
Very Good item!!!! excellent delivery!!! Everything is in perfect order!!! Thank you!!Report this review
These pedals are even better than their predecessors, the standard Kéo pedals. They are broader, which gives a solid platform for the foot. Clicking in is firm, positive, and secure. And Look bearings last for ever - I've a pair of pedals that's nine years old, with thousands of kilometres on the clock, and is still going strong.Report this review
This is obviously a very good pedals and reliable. They feel very smooth on the clip in and clip out. while you press hard power on the pedal, It does not affect the efficiency of the comfort, and they grant to you a very good foot support. Buy it, no matter if you a pro or not, the value for the money is definitely worthwhileReport this review
