look good on the bike but 2 punctures in 3 days doesnt look good ! , only but is the price think gator skins are better value and better puncture resistance
Great deal for a great tire. Use these tires for training on both my summer road bike and tri bike. Can't beat the price for a tire of this quality. Use the Victtoria Corsa Pro SL for racing. They to are awesome ian
Only used a couple of times and so far no punctures or issues to report. You need a bit of patience when initially fitting the tyres as they are extremely tight. The instructions recommend not to use levers however it was the only way i could finish the fitting so had no choice. Hopefully now they have been used a couple of times fully inflated they will have stretched a bit and come that inevitable inner tube swap at road side it will be easier than the first fitting,
I received lower end Vittoria tyres a new bike. They lasted 3,800 miles with only 3 punctures. I replaced them with Schwalbe Raceguard which punctured on their 3 ride and ripped on 5th! I've decided to revert back to Vittoria and upgrade to the Rubino Pro, hoping to get much more commuting mileage than previous Schwalbe and Michelin Pro 3's
Ridden these tyres now for a number of years and have never had any problems, they roll well and are hard wearing, suitable for both training and riding sportives. Rode from John Ogroats to Lands End without a single puncture on these in 2013 and that's why I continue to use them.
Probably the best tire vs price. Good grip, roll fast, cornering excelent, good road feedback. Ofcorse as allways good deal from Pro Bike Kit.
This is my top tire, and nobody beat Probikekit price.
Tyres were reasonably priced and I couldn't believe how quickly they were delivered
Excellent tyre that has seen me through 3 Ironman races and numerous training rides. This tyre has stood up to winter training through the wet and cold. I have found flints stuck in the tyre wall which I have picked out but never punctured. This tyre can take a lot of punishment and survive.
Excellent tyre, excellent price, excellent service
I bought a pair of the blue 23mm tyres and although they don't look as good as my bontrager r3 tyres they look better than I thought. Grip on corners is better for the worsening conditions and rolling resistance is good. However these tyres were an absolute pain to get on my cosmic wheels. I ended up nipping three inner tubes. I am not a novice at putting tyres on either. I can usually change a flat at roadside within a 3-4 mins with the bontrager tyres. I certainly hope that they have stretched now they are on the rims.
Excellent tires. I have used so many different brands and I really recommend Vittoria Rubino.
After a lot of looking at reviews I changed to these from my conti 4 seasons which had finally given up the ghost. They are great, roll better than conti's and I am as confident with them. Just finished great British bike ride, lands end to Twickenham and found them great. Great price. Highly recommend.
I've done 1000+ miles on a pair of these Vittoria Rubino Pro Clincher Road Tyre including lots of gravel covered country roads, the Marmotte and they have never let me down. I have not a single puncture. Maybe I've just been lucky but judging by the reviews a pattern is emerging.
I've used all the Vittoria's CX, Diamante ect. and decided to give these Rubino Pro's a try. To start with, not one flat since I slapped them on. Lucky? No. They have the miles to prove it and are wearing even and slow. Extremely durable. Even with the extra rotational weight they feel just a tad slower than the lighter Vittoria's but the ride quality and feel is the same. I weigh 220lbs. and put a hurting on my bike and parts, so not much impresses me. These tires do.
I've gone through at least 2 sets of them in California, the best ratio of quality/price you can get. A rear tire with above normal use will last you at least 6+ K. (above normal meaning lots of cornering on high speeds in the mountains, some emergency breaking and stuff)
These tires behave predictably in weather, descents, and cornering. In my area patches of loose sand are common in the road these always pick up traction again after even a good slip. At 200 lbs endurance and puncture resilience is important to me, compared to Contis and other quality tires I find these to perform well and often excel.
I usually buy the cheapest tires here. Michilen Lithion 2s, Vittoria Zaffiro Pros. All around $22 USD. I have to admit these tires ( closer to $30 USD ) actually feel a bit more supple. Maybe its marketing spin...maybe its the higher TPI? I don't know. They just feel good. Long term durability is still a question, I've only had them on the bike for about 200miles.
Have just fitted my new Vittoria road tyre and am very pleased with the smooth ride and good grip - 15km commute to work. Can highly recommend this product at good value.
These might be both the best allround and the best bang-for-your-buck road tires. I am currently riding my third pair, and I've been totally satisfied with their performance and durability in terms of commuting and training. Also, they perform decently well in wet conditions. Pretty smooth, good grip and durability: try them for yourself.
