High5 Sports Zero Active is a zero calorie, fresh-tasting electrolyte drinks tablet.
If you need that extra bit of hydration that water just can't deliver, then an electrolyte tablet is just what you need. Containing potassium, sodium and magnesium, as well as vitamin C, High 5 Sports Zero Active is the ultimate thirst-quencher, but it's also so much more than that.
An electrolyte drink can mean the difference between walking that last 2 miles, or being able to keep a steady, efficient pace. It can also mean sprinting to the finish line or coasting along in a low gear. To put it short, electrolytes are essential, and could be the boost you need, for both physical and mental performance.
As far as the brand High5 goes, they're one of the most trusted sports nutrition brands around, and are hugely popular amongst cyclists, runners, triathletes and other endurance athletes. - T.H

Bought these on impulse for the price, as I usually like flavoured water, but these can obviously turn normal water into an energy drink & do it very well. Saves a bit of money compared to buying the energy drinks plus less hassle of emptying a bottle into your cycling bottle.
Have used them for quite a while. Feel like they do help. Highly recommended.
I have tried all flavours of zero now and like them all. Citrus and cherry orange are my favourites - pleasant but not too over-powering. The pleasant flavour definitely encourages me to drink more on a ride. I used to really suffer from headaches after intense exercise and I have found that since using these tabs the headaches are greatly lessened or don't occur at all. I never go out on my bike without at least one bottle with zero in it!
this product is helps at recuperation and its taste is nice. i prefer the pink grarefruit
Great service, with products arriving on time and well packaged. First time buyer and I would have no hesitation in using Probikekit again
Always have the berry flavour, tastes great and keeps me well hydrated. Does exactly what it says on the tin! Perfect.
I have been using these tabs now for numerous years. 20 drinks per tube is great for the price and they taste nice.
excellent service, excellent price, quick delivery and a very good product that really works high5
Since I started with these I use them for cycling, the gym and snowboarding. They keep the cramps off for sure, dunno if you really burn more fat, but you feel less fatigued than if you're just drinking water. Also good the day after a session if you're hungover & dehydrated :) Like all the High5 stuff, I really get on with the taste, so using the stuff doesn't give you that yucky feeling that makes you crave fresh water to make it go away. Have tried all the flavours and they're all good.
It took me three years to find this product, and my search stopped then. I work outside in a country that is very hot and humid during the summer. Now, rather than feeling drained at the end of the day, I finish as I started. These electrolytes accompany me on every sporting endeavour, and were high on my packing list for hiking in the Himalayas. I cannot recommend highly enough.
Tried these before as a freebie after last years Mens Health Survival Of the Fittest. They work fast and are a good supplement, prefer the Grapefruit falvour .
Hydrates better than plain water. Tastes good and fresh too. I have been using High5 Zero Electrolyte Tablets for a long time. I'm really impressed with the results. They keep me push more and more on the road...
I like this product since it contains no artificial compounds, dissolves quickly and completely. It tastes good, bought the berry and cherry - orange flavours. I add honey as a healthy source of carbohydrates.
I've used these tablets in my water bottle for a couple of years now but normally they've cost me in excess of £6 for 20. So to get them for under £5 with free postage was a bit of a no-brainer. Now I dont know whether these things work, but they do encourage you to take on water as it basically tastes better with them in it. But I like to think they do work so I use them in at least one of my bottles. Give em a go and make your own mind up
Used these for ages - taste fine and refresh well. Very reasonable price
These do exactly what they say on the tube and taste great too.
When you don't want to take on any more carbs (say towards the end of a tough ride) these work well. I usually carry one or 2 tabs on a long ride and use them later on, if needed. They don't take up much space in the back pocket. Taste is good & natural.
The High5 Sports Zero Active Hydration Tablets is an excellent value product. It helps me during long bike rides.
These are great wee disolvable tabs. Previously I just used to use tap water during my exercise which appeared to be enough however if I had a particularly tough or extra hard session (upwards of 3 hours) especially if coming in after a session about 9 or 10pm when I went to bed cramp would be a problem despite my drinking loads of water. Not with these little beauties! A few weeks ago did my cycle home from work of 14 miles then went out and covered 5 miles during a game of football. Admittedly needed three 750 ml bottles of water each with a tab for before, during and after - no problems with cramp during the night. Highly recommended. Would agree the berry is quite tasty but I like them all and once you've been exercising for 30 mins your body will take any fluid it can get irrespective taste (within reason!!)
These are easy to use, taste good and don't give you a sore stomach
Excellent drink mix to help replace vital minerals and avoid cramp. Can also help burn fat, but only because it provides no energy. Based on my experience, I'd say that if you suffer from cramps then this Zero drink will definitely help fight them off during long rides (or even short rides). The actual amount you need to drink will be a case of trial and error, and as with any energy product you should test it during training first before using it for real in a race or sportive.
Nice to flavour water with non-sticky substance. Makes you drink more, which is good,as I was only using mineral water and not taking in enough fluids. And does not leave smell in bottle (but obviously you need to wash it up!). Nice and convenient to have a tube when away from home as well. Like the berry best! And good stocking filler for Christmas!
I have used many other similar products in the past but thought I would try the Zero about 12 months ago following receipt of a promotion packet. So impressed that I ordered a tube straight away!
Citrus is the one for my personal taste. Other riders have covered most angles with their comments and I totally agree having previously been a sufferer of cramps. Give Zero a try and you won't use anything else!
I've now used these tablets for the last year and specifically helped in the off-season when i needed to loose a few kg's. Normally i'd use carb-rich drinks but these little tablets gives the body all it needs while exercising, they taste great (grapefruit is my favourite) and you can easily add to other drink mixes as well. Since using these i have NEVER suffered cramps while riding.
Have been dieting as well as training so wanted to avoid carbo drinks for a while. Have been using these on rides and also after rides to avoid post ride cramps. Used to get calf cramps after 2 hr + rides despite rehydrating with general fluid intakes. Have found that 500ml with 1 tab after training (or occasionally 2 x 500ml if it has been really hot) has completely eliminated the "middle of the night" cramp agony! Hooked!
First time using these and Im impressed. Just preparing for the Coast to Coast and building up the miles. Found these dealt with the cramps (didnt get them) and provided a well needed boost
Well they taste great and don't leave a nasty after taste and they seem to work too can cycle that extra mile no problems will only use high 5 products ..
i really like the taste of lemon, it's tasty enough and it help reduce cramp. 2 cap in a 750ml bottle and you've got an easy tastefull drink
Got some for free in my last PBK-package. Ok taste, could have been more taste, even with the adviced mix with water. From what I see, great price too.. Maybe it will prevent cramps, but im not the one to ask.
After getting a few free samples I started using them on shorter rides where I'd only use plain water. I liked the taste and I didn't feel quite as "spent" at the end of a hard ride.
For longer rides I started mixing them w/ whatever drink mix I usually use and it seems to be working quite well. I haven't had cramping issues on long rides in hot temps since I started this combination.
These tabs are a godsend. They're cheap (thanks PBK!), they taste great (tried three flavors so far, all except grapefruit, and they're all good) and they don't have any calories so they don't taste disgustingly sweet like other products. Stick with the normal tabs, the fruit flavored caffeinated ones taste terrible.
These are my favourite electrolyte tabs and possibly the cheapest as well which is a bonus!, I have tried all the flavours and found the cherry orange to be the best but all are nice. Seems to work and they are certainly better than water on its own. Good value.
Tastes GREAT and sweetness is not overwhelming like so many other brands! The tablet dissolves quickly and completely.
I really enjoy the taste of the tabs. It is easier to put a tab is the bottle than powder. It gives me the boost a need to my training (1 h). Recommend.
Great taste, not too sweet, keeps salts in the system! awesome!
I can't vouch for the other flavours available but mixed berry is great and citrus pretty good too. Really handy for long summer rides. Store them in some foil, fill your bottle with fresh water and then pop 1 or 2 tabs into your bottle depending on the size of the bottle and how strong you like it. My no.1 choice..
As previous reviewers mention, this is great for preventing cramps etc on long rides/runs and they taste great too. But don't forget they contain pretty much zero carbs and therefore you will not get any energy boost from them. I use them to supplement a carb drink when doing tough sessions.
very nice product, good value for your money.
ordered on 7 September 2011.
FINALLY arrived today on 21 September 2011!!!
that's in 2 WEEKS!!!
even if i paid extra for delivery (btw in value of actual product), i WOULDN'T GET IT ON TIME as it was NOT IN STOCK shortly after i submitted my order.
i still don't get it how could that happen?
yeah, LETS BLAME IT SYSTEM...
Very portable and convenient to use. The caffeine indeed gave an extra kick, however I do not recommend to people with elevated blood pressure.
I use zipvit elite at the beginning of the ride and high five zero when refilling.. I tend to mix my drink with less powder to get more water taste to it.. (just my preference)
Very good for century rides..
This product has really helped keep me stay hydrated on both short and long rides, but what I love the most about it is the portability of the tablets. Whenever I know I'm going to have to refill a bottle at a park drinking fountain I always take these along. They freshen the taste of any water helping to keep me stay hydrated with the added bonus of electrolytes.
Keeps me hydrated! Tastes awesome - orange flavour, in particular. Coolest value for 20tabs!
This is great! The taste is light and very nice! I have only tried the orange-cherry flavour and it is highly recommended! :)
I really like the ease of the tabs. Pop them in a bottle and there is no worry about how it mixes up. I much prefer the taste to any other sports drink I have tried and I'm finding it's causing me to finally hydrate at a proper rate.
I am no fan of the typical, Gatorade-type sports drink. Find the taste odd, and my stomach doesn't take well to it.
Received a number of free sample packs of Zero Cal High5, and started using them, as the Spring riding season is finally arriving here in Canada.
What a surprise, it has a light taste, and I keep reaching for the bottle for another sip - have been drinking more than if I had plain water as I always had.
The product comes in small envelopes, one tablet in each, rated for 500 ml of mixed drink. My first tries, I took my usual 750 ml bottle partially filled, and mixed the tablet it. It's effervescent, like an Alka-Seltzer tablet, and dissolves cleanly even in cold water.
Loved the taste, and am now buying the 20 tablet tube for daily use.
If you want to fill a 750 ml and keep the recommended mixing ratio, you can mix a tablet and a half (split with a knife), or just add two tablets. Take one extra in your pocket, for on-the-road bottle refills.
Great taste product - got me hooked. Thanks PBK for the free samples.
It works for me. After a couple of trials on local training rides, I used these tabs in one of my bottles on the final stage of this year’s Etape du Tour - the Col du Tourmalet - among the longest, hottest, toughest hills I’ve ever had the joy to pedal up. Although I suffered like a dog, and sweated like a donkey, I did have a single twinge of cramp.
Finally, it’s important to realise that Zero is not an energy drink. As the name implies, the tabs contain very minimal carbohydrate, no sugars and no caffeine. When training, racing or riding sportives, you’ll need to take on the usual amounts of carbohydrate, and you’ll need to hydrate as well - two other key components of avoiding cramp.
