This RS31 clincher wheels offers aero performance and excellent quality at a competitive price. The RS31 features a 30mm high profile aluminium rim for improved aero dynamics, 20 rear stainless steel butted and bladed straight pull spokes with a 2-cross lacing pattern to improve lateral and torsional (power transmission) rigidity. The elbow-less spokes make for a strong yet compliant wheel.
High lateral rigidity is increased by wide flange spacing and a smooth high polished finish hub shell. The hub uses angular contact bearings designed to cradle the balls giving both radial and lateral support for superior strength and durability in real world riding conditions.
The RS31 also offer precision bearing adjustment and easy maintenance. Labyrinth and contact sealing and low-friction seals effectively shut out water, mud and dirt without affecting rotational smoothness. - A.D.

great wheels
These wheels are great at this price i ve only done 50ish miles on them yet but they do seem to roll better than my standard wheels but there is an issue if you an heavy rider like me 95 kg when your out of the saddle sprinting or climbing they do flex a bit i notice mine catching the brake pads but still think they were excellent value

Shimano wheelset RS31
The wheels are poor quality. My set came with a valve stem hole drilled off center to the point that the valve stem comes out partially on the side of the rim. I am told by the Customer Relations that indeed many wheels do come that way but there is no problem as long as the valve stem comes through. I wish i knew that the wheels are seconds or quality rejects. In addition the bladed spokes were twisted which defeats the purpose of having them bladed but at least this can be corrected. Not impressed.

Worth the price!
I recently bought the Shimano RS31 wheelset as a backup and for training purposes so I wouldn't ruin my carbon wheels after a rough winter took it's toll on our roads. Very pleased with the wheelset, great quality overall and I was able to put a 11 speed Dura Ace cassette on it. They are heavier than my carbon wheels, but I consider that a bonus for training, and to hold up to all the pot holes. Would recommend to anyone in search of a low cost durable everyday wheelset.

Excellent wheels.Excellent service. No flex, I'm a 90 kg rider who tends to push too hard a gear. Much better than the Aksiums they replaced. Very quiet and smooth.

Shimano RS31 Wheelset
Excellent wheels for the money. I am 90kg and tend to push too hard a gear but no real flex even when out of the saddle really pushing. Very quiet and smooth with an improved braking surface over the Aksiums they replaced. Can't really fault them. Excellent service from PBK as usual.

Great mid-level wheelset
These wheels certainly aren't the lightest, but they glide really nicely. Decent bearings. Simple to install, even for someone who's never migrated a cassette before. I'm really happy with this purchase. I've only put on about 100km of commuting with them so far, but they're a decent ride so far. Just a heads up that the spacing ring to fit a 10 spd casssette onto the freehub is included with the wheels. I didn't realize this until after going to my LBS.
