I was getting cold riding over the recent chills (around 0 degrees) in my trusty old assos early winter jacket... this sportful R&D zero jacket is much warmer without being too hot or clammy - keeps the wind out, the ventilation zips work well but are a bit awkward with winter gloves on - have not had anything more than a shower so don't know how much water it'll keep out. The fit is typical sportful - I'm an ex rugby player, 5'3 but a solid 12.5 stone with 42 chest, so always have problems with sizing. Opted for a large which fits just right. The jacket is quite short at the front with a longer back to keep out the wind. The collar is a good fit without being too tight and the sleeves have plenty length in them for taller chaps
