The Castelli ‘Espresso 4’ cycling jacket is feature packed to help you get in as much cycling as possible over the cold winter months. Made from full Gore® Windstopper® to completely seal out the cold, the winter cycling jacket is also water repellent and breathable.
The winter cycling jacket is cut to fit slightly looser than Castelli’s race apparel and 4-way stretch construction provides freedom of movement on the saddle. Fastened with a full-length YKK® Vislon zipper, the front of the jacket is detailed with a zippered chest pocket and zippered ventilation openings that also function as additional pockets.
The jacket is constructed with stretch inserts on the shoulder for increased flexibility in an aggressive riding position and an elastic band on the back prevents the jacket from riding up. A soft double-layered collar and CrossWrap wrist closures seals out any cold drafts. Reflective details around the waist and shoulders increase visibility in low light conditions.

Typical Castelli quality - which it needs to be for the high end price (although got an excellent discount deal with PBK) As per normal with Castelli go up a size. I like the cut and it fits well... deep rear pockets, chest pocket and two side vents (which can also be used as small storage pockets) The vent zips work well and I was able to open/close with gloves on. When closed you don't get 'wind/cold' coming through the zips... unlike a Mavic thermal jacket I had... the vent zips just let all the cold air in... you didn't need to open them! I was out in -1c the other day with a base layer, and a long sleeved thin jersey plus the Espresso... nice and warm for the full 91 miles I covered. For slightly warmer days you could get away with a good quality base layer and just the Espresso 4 Jacket... All in all a good looking quality jacket that works well...
