Stiff yet comfortable

5

The shoes have a super stiff sole for good power transfer, and good venting so your feet stay cool and fresh. The fit is definitely for narrow feet, but they fit me well so I like them. The plastic on the toe is a bit scuffed up from stopping on them, so time will tell how long that part holds up. So far the Sidis are proving to be worth the cost.

Excellent value for money

4

A really smart looking pair of shoes from a well known brand. Very impressed by the comfort levels offered. The sole, although not full carbon, is very stiff and excellent for climbing. Great value for money.

Best fit of any shoe I've tried

4

Though they seem to be more expensive than other shoes with regards to the tech specs, Sidi has a fit so refined and comfortable that it makes it well worth it. My foot is narrow and Northwave, Vittoria etc don't have that perfect fit.

After trying Sidi I would be hard pressed to find something that fits as well for this price, I am giving 4 stars because the sole could be full carbon and the shoe could be out of real leather (my two peeves)

Excellent shoe

5

Like everyone so far, mine are 3 years old and as solid today as the day I bought them. Linseed oil from time to time and new clips each year but otherwise they're the best shoes I've owned in 25 years of riding.

Best so far.

I've had old-fashioned, cleated Italian leather shoes, a couple of Pearl Izumi clipless models, and these; the Sidis are the best of them. The shape of the foot last works for me (long, narrow feet), and the ankle closure doesn't irritate me, as in my last Pearl Izumi's.
Stiff enough without being too stiff, durable and reliable... just a bit too expensive, I guess. I splurged on myself to buy these, and don't regret it in this case.
A critical component, and worthy of careful selection.
These shoes are recommended.

Solid shoe for avid rider

4

After over 2 yrs & 1000's of miles these are as solid as day I got 'em. Sidi's last is consistent shoe-to-shoe & fits my foot well. Comfortable on long (50+mi) rides. Supportive without being rigid. Soles are plenty stiff for me (170#), but sprinters will likely want a bit stiffer.

Slimline race shoe with a professional image and pricetag

4

This might seem like a lot of money to spend on a shoe with a nylon sole, but the carbon bre reinforcement means the Genius 5 is really stiff and the weight stays low. The slim and shallow t is quintessentially Italian.

A bump under the ball of your foot helps to control knee alignment and there’s good arch support too, though we found the heel cup could be more supportive. The Velcro straps use interlocking nylon teeth for extra security and allow a tight t over the whole foot.

Sidi’s efcient Caliper buckle has a simple one-step release and pulls on a wide, soft strap that’s both comfortable and secure. We like the replaceable heel pad too.

Very comfortable race and everyday shoe

4

I have had these shoes for over 2 yrs. and they are as good today as they were the 1st. Sidi's shoe size comparison chart was accurate, I wear 10.5 in running shoes and got size 45 in the Sidis.
