Great shoes. Light, rugged and comfortable
Bought these to replace 10 year old Specialized shoes. The grey Orange looks great off the bike and not obtrusive as I had feared. The laces stayed in place over 200, mainly off-road, miles on a X bike in the Scottish highlands. Comfortable straight out the box with far more give than my old Velcro straps. The leather is hard wearing and wipes clean. They also dried out far more quickly than my old shoes ( ready to wear the next morning after a Scottish soaking!).
Great shoes, very happy
Honestly am very happy so far with these shoes. These were my first 'proper' bike shoe and first time in clipless pedals but so far it's all been great. Fit is awesome, and I really love the look. The type of cycling I do mainly is commuting and weekend road riding, with a little bit of off-road now and then. My bike is a cyclocross bike so I do plan to do a bit of cross (just for fun) in the coming years. These shoes are and will be perfect for all of the above. Stiffness wise I think they're great. From riding in trainers before, these are a big step up. I can stand up out of the saddle and notice no flex whatsoever in the shoe. I'm about 72kg and average about 150-200w generally. Also for sizing reference, because I struggled to find good info online, I wear a size US11 in most trainers, like Nike, New Balance etc... I bought an EU45 in this shoe and it fits perfectly. Plenty of room in the toe box but nice and snug everywhere else. Laces obviously help keep things tightened and the lace-keeper on these is a great touch. Overall very happy, especially for the price. Be bold and go the grey and orange over the black!
