I'm delighted with my Shimano dry shield winter shoes, they're a perfect fit, really comfortable, and so warm, compared to my previous winter footwear , I'm known in my club for someone who'll go out in virtually any weather during the winter, and I hate being wet and cold, and though I've not worn them in the wet yet, so I don't know how water resistant they are, I have worn them on a couple of sub zero mornings and they were excellent. My only complaint would be the 5 weeks I had to wait from the time of order to the time of delivery from ProBikeKit. but now I've got them, they were worth waiting for, and all credit to ProBikeKit, they were far cheaper than any other supplier
On the upside: comfortable with room for extra socks and no unwanted movement, even though they are 47s and not 45s as my long-term favourites, Shimano MTB 42s. A road shoe for winter but certainly not for heavy rain. Caught out in the open in a storm, I was happy to know that home was but 15 minutes away as the shoes rapidly became like miniature baths, letting water in but not out. I am curious to see how they will perform when winter arrives. Hopefully their heat retention capabilities are better than their waterproof abilities. OK on damp days, but quite useless in actual rain.
