The Shimano M089 SPD MTB Shoes feature Dynalast technology to enable efficient pedalling on any type of terrain. The tough, stretch-resistant synthetic leather and mesh upper keeps your feet protected and cool. Fastened with a cross X-strap to relieve tension on the top of the foot during push off motion and a low-profile micro-adjust buckle for a secure fit.
The Shimano SPD shoes feature single density, cushioned insole to adjusts to a range of foot shapes and provide shock absorption. The Torbal Torsional midsole enables a natural range of motion during downhill sections. The expanded SPD cleat adjustment range adapts to race or trail riding types. - A.D.

Nice product, expensive custom duty
Nice product, but the custom duty are very expensive.
Cheap shoes
Shimano shoes in a size 15 are one of the few makes available. These mo89s are poorly made of cheap thin material and not worth half the asking price. Aldi make better shoes, alas not in my size
Small, Narrow Fit & Tall Arch
I found that these shoes fit much smaller and narrower than the 20+ year old Shimano Mountain Bike Shoes I needed to replace. They also have a much more pronounced arch that my flatter feet don't appreciate when walking, but they seem fine when riding. The rubber compound on my old shoes had hardened and skated dangerously on hard surfaces rather than providing traction. The serrated soles on these new shoes are surprisingly hard, but they at least provide more traction than my old shoes. I was hoping for a softer compound, but then, I don't walk any great distance on these anyway. My previous Shimano shoes were size 43, but I needed 45 this time due to the tighter and narrower fit. I also find that the ratchet strap is almost too short. It barely engages before I tighten it a few clicks. With three straps in total (1 ratchet & 2 velco), these shoes are not nearly as convenient or as fast to put on as older models, but they do provide more support.

Great fit and comfort. Fit a bit better than my 1.5 yr old Shimano shoes. Better power transfer.
good shoes
i used many similar shimano MTB shoes with wide version. this new version was slim and better in fitting sense with good feeling in pedaling. this seems to be lighter. i miss the wide version, but the present one is still good.

I got these because I was so happy with another similar pair of Shimano shoes. So far they are great, even better perhaps.

value shoes
2nd set of Shimano spd basic shoes. 1st pair gave me more than ten years service of year round riding. Hoping for the same with this pair. Good fit, well finished and closures work well. Feel more comfortable on the bike and also less flexible around the cleat. Happy so far, but only a couple of hours work in them to date.
