Windblocker

I've had this jacket 2 months now - through a Sydney NSW winter... it's absolutely fantastic! My first ride was through a damp 10C with a thermal tee base layer - I just had a grin from ear to ear across my face at how it totally blocked the wind and the water was repelled. It's definitely a race fit with long sleeves and long at the back. short at the front means its perfect with no bunching. Its has some stretch which is great across the shoulders and chest for a snug fit without restricting movement. I mainly use it with a thermal base layer (tee) which is good for 5C - 12C. From 12C-16C id only want a summer base layer or normal jersey. The three pockets to the rear are larger than a norma jersey which is good for other layers you may wish to shed or carry - though I do carry my iPhone in one pocket alone and although it's never slipped out, because the openings are a little wider than normal I am worried it might slip out when I go 'flat back' (which isn't too often!). The one drawback is that it's not an item that can be taken off and stowed in a normal jersey pocket - it is too bulky for that - but careful planning on the temperature won't see you wearing this when its too warm to perform. I thoroughly recommend it.
