Peace of mind
Having used the Cycliq 6 now on a couple of rides. I can say that it is a fairly robust and user friendly piece of kit. The main benefit from my perspective is that now I have eyes behind me and peace of mind that I can evidence when I encounter shocking driving practices.
Not waterproof
On my 3rd ride using this there was a rain shower. The camera will now longer switch on. Having since looked at an owners online group, water ingress appears to be a significant issue and the manufacturers have put out a support update to flag it as a known issue. The best advice I've had so far is to wrap an old inner tube around it to keep the water out! So this camera has a fundamental flaw in the design unfortunately. Avoid.
Almost perfect
Battery life is true. 5 hours without flashing light and 4 hours with. If only you could view files on phone without taking the SD card out would be perfect. I’ve had to buy an SD reader for my iPhone to view and edit files. The microphone doesn’t pick up voices very good but it’s not supposed too. Overall it dose what it’s suppose to do and lasts me all of my ride.
