Longer install, but worth it riding

This tape took a little longer to install than a standard cork tape. It feels a little chunky, but when riding the grooves are appreciated. The colour scheme of black/grey is subtle. I would buy this tape again.

Great product at impressive price

Really have to force the tape around, but worth the effort. Takes a bit longer to secure to make sure it fits nice and snug. However, once on, it looks great and is fairly shockproof too. Even when wet, they still have great grip, but do seem to be very absorbent. All in all, great product and i like the colour schemes too, matches your bike with style and flair!

Great look

This is by far and away the best tape I have used. It looks great and lasts forever. Even the white and grey will last over a year without looking worn.

It is tricky to install as you need to be super careful to ensure that it is evenly spaced. It needs is not flexible and needs a firm hand.

Once it is on, it is nicely padded, and gives a very comfy grip. It is quite thick, so if you like skinny bars, it might not be for you.

Excellent grip and padding

I like this tape very much. The extra padding is nice and offers a lot of vibration reduction. Works great with Fizik gel inserts.
Roll was long enough that it only had to be pulled tight a little in order to cover my carbon handles with the Fizik gel inserts.
Looks a bit gaudy in black/red but it's still nice nonetheless, just takes some getting used to at first.
Great value!

Nice unique looking tape, very comfy

Price isn't much more than other tapes, but if you like the look its very comfortable and durable.

The padding is perfect for riding without gloves, (As I do frequently)

Giving it four stars because even though I had the shop put it on, the fit doesn't seem perfect. I am sure it will contract a bit with sweat and water drying it snug, but for the moment it isn't

Worth the effort

Bending this stuff to your will & the handlebar is not an easy task. Getting a nice, clean wrap around corners & levers will require considerably more time & effort than for cork tapes, which are usually very forgiving in these areas. You will find that you have to re-wrap corners a couple of times to stretch the tape & get it to lay flat.
Fortunately, the tape handles all of this abuse well; I really leaned into this stuff & felt no sign of weakness or fragility. The tape ends are cut to angles that should make beginning & ending the tape easier, if you wrap for self-tightening, one of these angles is going to make starting the tape a little weird (not to mention that because you have to reverse the wrap either the tops or drops of your bar will not have the color striping). This brings me to the end plugs, mine required a lot of sanding to get them small enough to even fit in my bars, let alone fit in there with bar tape.
Fully installed, my handlebars now look like something out of a Tim Burton movie, it'll be fun for a year but I will be going back to a solid colored tape next year.
These are a challenge to install, but I didn't buy them because they would be easy to install; I wanted the aesthetics & I wanted the solid feeling that they afford. They offer both looks & firmness in spades.

Colorful, comfortable, tricky installation

I used this tape to replace my stock thick boring bar tape. I am quite pleased with how comfortable this tape is even though it does not cushion as much as the tape it replaced, it is actually much more comfortable to me.

The two colour design of the tape makes for a candy-cane stripe look on your handlebars. I wasn't sure about the stripes at first, but the colour looks good so it is growing on me.

The tape was a bit difficult to install well. This was my first time installing bar tape, but it still seemed trickier than it should have been. It really takes a lot of tension to get an even wrap, and the coloured stripe highlights any mistake you make very clearly.

Much better than cheap stuff

First time getting bar tape that wasn't the cheapest on PBK and it was worth it!

It's such a small difference but you can FEEL the bike a lot better with the microtex than cheap cork tape.

It also has JUST enough padding for all day comfort.

Spending a couple of dollars more for this is totally worth it.

Just the right amount of cushioning and excellent grip

I usually find that cork tape can be a bit too soft and doesn't always offer the best grip. I find the Fizik Dual tape to be the perfect combination of enough cushioning to absorb road vibration and gives a good grip for feel on the bike. I combine mine with the Fizik Gel and even with the two of them it is not overly think or "squishy", yet provides enough padding to help alleviate shock from my aluminium bike that doesn't always absorb shock well. I can even ride gloveless with this tape without any problems.

It can be a little difficult to get on with the proper amount of stretch, but once you figure it out it's worth it. I find that the stitching and perforations help with alignment when trying to get it on, and the stitching does not irritate my hands when riding without gloves.

I found the tape to be very durable. I got over a year out of my first roll and the only reason I needed to replace that was because I was switching out the handlebars and housing.
