Why Would You Want a Knog Bike Light?

Why wouldn’t you? They’re lightweight and pack an extraordinary amount of technology into a small package. What’s more, they’re rechargeable via USB so you won’t have to faff about with replacing batteries.

A Light Down Under

Founded in Melbourne, Australia, in 2002, Knog was the result of a lightbulb moment from two friends, Hugo Davidson and Mal McKenchie. With backgrounds in product design and mechanical engineering, they set about to create a range of lights that met more with their own idea of what a bike light should be. From the beginning, they’ve aimed to create products that “defy convention” and combine usability with aesthetics. Over the last couple of decades, the founding duo have expanded the team to a business with over 20 people, including designers, engineers, marketers, and the rest. This steady growth of the company is testament to the quality of their products.

Lights for All Occasion

The brand’s Frog bike light was the first silicone housed bike light. This quirky light brought a low cost, effective, and simple to attach bike light. The PWR series is another clever design from the Aussie light makers. It’s modular, meaning you can swap the head, battery, and other related accessories that can run off the battery. Handily, you can remove the LED front light and use the battery for charging other devices, like your phone or bike computer.
