Australian bicycle accessories brand Knog have design innovation in their DNA having been started 17 years ago by an industrial designer and engineer respectively. Constantly looking to improve the products that they bring to market and this is once again the case with their latest bike light the Cobber.

Stand out feature of this new Cobber light is the 330° of light that is produced, meaning cyclists can be clearly seen from both sides as well as the front and rear. In an increasingly busy world, this bike light is brilliantly effective at attracting attention and helping keep cyclists safe.

Packing a whopping 470 lumens in the big Cobber through to 110 lumens in the Lil Cobber these lights are seriously bright. Other notable features include their integrated USB recharging, meaning you can just plug it into your computer to charge, it is 100% waterproof as you would expect and there is even the ability to programme the light modes making it fully customisable.

If you are looking for the best commuter bike light of 2019 look no further.

Excellent be-seen lights

I bought these to be seen, not to light the way ahead, and they do the job perfectly. Very easy to use, take off to charge, charge, then put back on. Wide selection of modes, and you can even program your own (although I haven't tried it yet, as the provided modes suit me well). All in all a highly recommended light set.

Latent Potential

I bought the Big Cobber Twinpack. They have a fantastic design and these is nothing quite like them that offers side visibility. I feel genuinely safer when riding at after dark in my urban commute. They have a variety of modes, the brightest setting on the front is possibly too bright and due to the structure means there is no way of angling it down away from the eyes of oncoming traffic but its not an issue as there is a less dazzling mode. The light clicks into a cradle that is attached by a silicon band to the frame, there is an aero mount and a regular mount. The aero mount uses a number of soft fins to adapt to irregular shapes. My bike doesn't really have a gap between the top bar tube and the down tube and that was a problem for the attachment at first. However, there are also different silicon bands to meet different frame widths which overcame this. Unfortunately, the button on the rear light quit after about two weeks. I could still charge it and while it charges the light is off but as soon as it was removed from the charger it would turn on and drain on max brightness. I was very disappointing because i genuinely really like the lights and the design is brilliant but the quality of the construction might not live up to the same standards. Luckily they have a two year warranty and PBK have been great and are in the process of replacing them. I hope I just had a duff one and this isn't a common problem. In summary, great design but question marks over quality - not the end of the world though as the two year warranty should cover any issues and no one else has reported this problem from what I can see.

Excellent

Another excellent product from Knog. Beautifully made and really visible in all modes and they look great too. Very impressed.
