Excellent value for money
5I previously had an exposure light of 900 lumens although this is now knackered after many years of good service but is twice the size of this unit. To be fair this a has since been uprated and is now considerable more powerful but like all their kit pricey. Thought I'd give the cat eye a try on my road bike and am extremely impressed. On full beam it's extremely bright. You can actually see to ride by the illumination given. The unit is well made and compact and easily charged form the micro USB lead and appears to give the run time of 1.5h on full beam. For the price excellent and well recommended

4Great light, multiple functions varying intensity but very good on highest setting when riding on pitch black roads allowing a wide field of vision. Only down side is the bracket which isn't great for positioning on road bars, i have used an adapter to allow it to fit under garmin which tidies up the look and space on handlebars

5Does what it says on the tin. Very bright light but with multiple settings enabling the right level of illumination for on road or darker paths, without damaging the eye sight of those it is pointed towards. The weight is perfectly satisfactory given the power of the battery too. A recent purchase so I haven't had the chance to give it a thorough test but, to date, very impressed.

5I've been using a led lenser h14r head torch for about a year which is a nice bit of kit but it was far too heavy and constantly dimming itself, so I saw this on offer through ProBikeKit and what a purchase. I purchased an extra bracket so move it between road bike bars (using it as an only light) and mountain bike helmet (along with a hope R8 on the bars) and it's brilliant. The exposure joystick for me isn't worth the extra money and once again ProBikeKit delivered super fast with great communication along the way.... Happy cyclist!!

5A very good light. There are multiple modes and I find myself using the lowest continuous beam option for riding, I will then transition to the flashing mode in lighter conditions. I save the hi-beam 800lumens for th really dark sections. The battery life is solid using the above settings, I charge it 2x a week over 5 rides in winter light conditions for example. The mounting system is good, I have flipped it so the light sits under my bars. The button for turning off & on and changing modes is good. With winter gloves it does need an it more of a nudge to push the button but that is my only negative. To put it in context, I use this over a 1000lumen battery pack light I have as this is just as bright and all in one unit. I can not see myself using a brighter light.

4A good light. More than adequate for unlit roads on the lower brightness settings. By using the lower constant settings and flashing through lit urban areas this light saw me right through the night. Full power was a bit overkill for road use really. I did lower the light to avoid dazzling on coming drivers, there's very little in the way of directing all those lumens to the road. But you can get a decent enough spread ahead that is good enough fro 20+mph speeds and keep the car drivers and pedestrians happy. Battery takes quite a while to charge.

5Hard to see how the Cateye Volt 800 could be improved - compact, lightweight, simple to adjust direction and beam mode while riding, easy to disconnect from it's mount. Very good value for money.

4Excellent product, with a number of different light intensity options for road riding. As a daily commuter I find the Volt to work extremely well, inclusive of its daytime pulse setting, even on sunny Australian days. My previous light was a Cygolite Dash 450, which although excellent, had a tendency to throw a wider broader beam when on its fixed setting. The Dash has become my helmet front light, mainly due to the versatile rubber strap which is attached to the body of the light. As I understand in order to replicate such a mounting option for the Volt I would need to purchase a separate helmet attachment. Something to consider if you prefer helmet mounting your light. The bracket and attaching mechanism for the Volt appears robust and sturdy with Cateyes patented threaded 'nut' tightening system. It has a affixed rubber pad which offers ample purchase on the handlebar. It has not become lose yet, even with numerous bumps and riding in the wet. More importantly its a all plastic composition, which I prefer over the clamps/brackets that come with 'stainless' steel threaded nuts/screws which inevitably seem to rust. All in all, very pleased with the purchase, and delivery.
