Since 1965, Santini has specialized in producing some of highest-quality clothing for cycling. Over the course of their illustrious history, not only have they produced some of the most iconic pro kits, but they’ve also been keen innovators.

A Legend Is Born

In 1967, the Italian brand took the bold step to produce a bib short made of a Lycra fabric, rather than the black-coloured wool favoured at the time. In the same year, they also began using an antibacterial, synthetic-fabric chamois; something we are very much familiar with today but at the time was unheard of.

Continuing through the 1970s and 1980s, the brand strove to push their clothing forward in terms of technological advancements. A silk polyamide was introduced to the jersey, to heighten aerodynamics and windproof nylon was used in wool jerseys.

Clothing Champions

Santini is a common sight for those that follow the sport of cycling. The brand has been a supplier for UCI’s World Championship and a regular contributor of the Maglia Rosa in the Giro d’Italia.

In the modern era of cycling, Santini has seen their kits used to great effect by the likes of Peter Sagan in the World Championship and Trek-Segafredo, in numerous WorldTour races. The famed kit makers have also supplied leaders’ jerseys for La Vuelta, and have partnered with champion racers, such as Vincenzo Nibali and Lizzie Deignan.
