After a long wait we have received the new Polaris/PBK Neutron rain jacket.
It’s available in black and has been designed by the PBK design team and made by Polaris.
By combining efforts this jacket looks and feels like it should cost much more and we’re confident that it competes with the more expensive jackets out there. The reflective accents are placed down the back and on the outside of the arms to keep you visible at all times. To make sure of its performance this afternoon we sent Al, a jacket, Anthony and a hosepipe out into our yard.
|Polaris aren’t just any old manufacturer and this isn’t just any old jacket: Polaris have been producing technical cycle wear for many years. All their products are designed to meet the highest standards and ensure they perform in the most demanding environments. They continue to receive recognition and awards for their innovative products and their passion for cycling combined with years of experience means they offer one of the best ranges available.|
We did film it in HD but are struggling to edit it quickly enough to get into this article! So keep your eyes peeled, it was highly conclusive that the jacket is 100% waterproof however!
Other features of the jacket are shown on the website, and from handling it in the office it really does look good. With winter around the corner it will most probably turn out to be one of those items you buy and wonder how you managed without. At £60 it isn’t cheap but when compared to other makes and models it performs way above its price level.
The fit is second to none, with a long back and bike specific arms when in a riding position it sits and moves perfectly. The zips all have a long puller on them for on the move adjustment and the chest pocket is waterproof so your mobile and keys won’t get destroyed when the heavens open. The neck and waist are elasticated, the neck has its toggle hidden on the back in a neat housing. The sleeves have the velcro fasteners which are easily adjusted and operated with gloves on.
