Mike Gregg - In Full Flight

Great weekend, I rode the Frank Morgan road race , where I was up against second cats.
It was 55 miles and 25 laps, I waited till about 10 laps to go and then I made an attack I looked around and saw Simon Yates coming with me who is actually now a first cat and came second in the nationals. I got in a break with him and we then caught the lone leader who joined us. At this point I could not believe I was in a break and in such a good race.
We kept racing and I was just managing to take my turn. Another two second cats joined us on the last lap and then attacked us . I just managed to crawl home and get 5th:)
I won 50 quid. and first 3rd cat. Now I have gained 20 ranking points and I’m half way to second cat or maybe further.

Next week I will be doing Thursday night at Preston and National Junior Road Series at Nottingham.

I am really enjoying bike racing and want to keep getting better.
