Vibration

4

Slight but definite vibration/shimmy unless brakepads are positioned at lowest part of braking surface of rims. I assume this will resolve with use. Must be something about the new surface. But overall, good lightweight wheelset, silky smooth bearings. Great climbing wheels.

Not impressed

2

The rear wheel is severely out of balance, and I can feel it when descending. When i put the bike on the stand and get the rear wheel spinning, the bike shakes so hard it wants to jump off of the rack. I have 3 sets of wheels, and I've never seen an imbalance this severe. Has anyone else had this issue? I don't want to stick a bunch of lead tape on the rim, but not sure what else to do.

Great wheels for the price

Replaced 733 Tru-Velo Oval Concept wheels that came with a new S-WORKS 2015 Roubaix frameset bike built with 11 sp Ultegra. The C24 Dura-Ace wheels are lighter and lower profile. Compared to the Tru-velo wheels, the dura ace wheels are much less effected by cross winds, look better, and have stayed true after 1000 miles of rough roads. I had 3 of the Tru-velo wheels crack at the spoke holes in only 6 months and replaced them. Very pleased with the wheels so far.

Awesome

I've been riding for over 30 years and these are the stiffest, lightest and most comfortable wheels I've ever ridden. Short, fast group rides, or long centuries with lots of climbing, these wheels rock. Several thousand miles and still perfectly true. I'm selling my Cosmics!

Dura-Ace Wheels

These wheels are awesome. They run smooth and are very light. I just rode the Storming of Thunder Ridge Century this weekend and they rode awesome. I would highly recommend them if you're looking to shave some weight and minimize rolling resistance.

Built for performance

First impressions on lifting them out of the box is how light these wheels are. On the road the most noticeable difference is the reduced road vibration due to using carbon fibre which was my main reason for going for these wheels over all aluminium wheels in a similar league such as fulcrum racing zeros. I'm fairly light (74kg) and so was concerned about the higher rigidity of other wheels adversely affecting ride comfort. Have only noticed a small improvement speed wise on the flats over my old stock wheels but am confident that the wheels aren't the limiting factor anymore. I've used them in a couple of road races and have noticed that they freewheel a lot better than most other wheels so would say the biggest speed improvements are on downhill sections due to the dura ace hub. Only negative point is the finish is a bit rough around the weld joint on the rim where there's a noticeable step and the braking surface seems fragile but I think thats the tradeoff for lighter weight and better performance. After some research I replaced my brake pads with swissstop green pads which are supposed to reduce rim wear so time will tell with regards to how durable these wheels are.

Dura Ace WH-9000 C24

not all that impressed with this wheelset unfortunately. They are true and stiff, and seem high quality. However, the rear wheel is not balanced. When I give it a good spin with the bike on the bike stand, the rear wheel causes the entire bike to shake something fierce. I don't have any spoke magnet, I even took the tube/tire off... it's definitely an imbalance in the rim itself. Disappointing.

Dura-Ace Wheelset

4

There was no damage to the wheels I bought because they were shipped in a well packed box. Any questions I asked were replyed within 24 hours by customer service. The price of the wheels were great. They were still cheaper than the U.S. competitors when the customs fees were applied. The only negative thing was how long it took to receive the product, which was almost a month. I am not sure if Probikekit can control this issue since it has to ship overseas.
