With this wheels set you can make a great upgrade from a factory basic wheels. Great price for a wheels set with reemplazable bearings, great aero design wirh 35 mm and great weight for the money invested. Heavy duty, I weight 320 pounds and the run very well.

amazing wheels

5

These wheels are great, they're stiff and fast, rolling resistance is is almost non existent (feels like it), they look amazing and feel the same way. Delivered fast and well packed. Would recommend these to my 'brother'. Do not see why I'd go for anything more expensive........!

Get some

5

These wheels are awesome easily the best wheels around at this price point and in my opinion better then some wheels costing two or three times more... if you’ve got the legs then once you spin up to 20mph+ they hold that speed very well...they are a very solid wheelset no flex and stiff out the saddle...ok at 1700grams they are not the lightest yet they do not feel heavy..pair these with some good tires and you have got yourself a sound set of hoops for peanuts.. first class service from PBK quick delivery and best price around on these great wheels...

Fulcrum Racing Quattro C17

Price was great and the quality of these wheels looked good coming out of the box. Only complaint is that they weighted 1840 grams with the installed rim tape. 115 grams more than the published weight.

In a word, “Class” These wheels are light. Fast and attractive. The wheels spin well and are very quiet. A great affordable upgrade.

Stiff and quick

5

Sure these aren’t carbon, but they are much deeper than most stock wheels and a fraction of other deep sections. Weight is pretty fair. The stickers can be damaged while changing tires, which is a bit cheap; but again for the price, good deal. Freehub is aluminum which is racier than steel, but does get teeth marks from the cassette.

Solid road wheels

5

I ride a road bike in Orlando, Fl. The roads aren’t as bad as a lot of US cities (mainly due to mild winters), but we do have a lot of potholes & trash (glass, screws, edger blades...). Recently, a 3rd screw permanently damaged my Shimano RS11 rear wheel. I considered a new set but for a little more I got these Fulcrum Racing Quattro LG Clinchers for their more aero depth (35mm vs 24), designed to be aero for 25mm tires, reputation & durability. The new wheels are 1/3# lighter- slight, but they are stiffer in hard turns. Haven’t notice significant speed improvements but haven’t been pushing hard as of late due to different training goals. One thing is clear: they were well trued & I will definitely consider another set of Fulcrums.

Top performing bargain

5

These are excellent wheels: stiff, true and sure-footed. Bearings are super smooth and the braking is very solid. At 1,725gms I expected they might be sluggish, particularly on hills. Turns out there’s no detectable difference between these and much more expensive climbing wheels. Makes you realise that an extra 300-400gms makes no difference to the performance of a complete bike. Top performance at this price, makes them an absolute steal and highly recommended.

Great training/racing wheelset

5

I bought these wheels after reading, watching, and researching almost every wheelset in this weight and pricepoint. I'm a 90kg/200lb 40 year old rider that usually races Cat 3 on a good day and mostly do gran fondos or competitive club rides. I have ridden for over 23 years and have had multiple wheels and bikes. I needed a wheel set to keep up with my weight and current riding style. I found that I could spend alot and ride a lighter wheelset but realistically I would have to replace them in a few years due to spoke replacement or rim fatigue. Carbon is not a good option for my decision in a clincher rim because I didn't want to have to worry about braking surfaces and overheating. So after much deliberation, I purchased the Fulcrum Quattros. Delivery to the US was within about a week, and packaging and handling were excellent. I opened the box to find that these wheels were handbuilt and inspected, true and balanced. The product was spot on with advertised weights and overall looks were impressive. The labeling is simply paper stickers but look great. I also noticed that the bearing covers are made of a plastic cap that clips into place. I have no doubt that it will be fine for miles to come. The braking surface is a milled finish and the extra width of the rim really opened my tires up to a much nicer profile that my previous rims. The bearings are a quality set of sealing replaceable units that rely on the individual bearing seals to keep contaminates out. I would like to see a second set of seals and knowing now, I would have probably paid the extra few dollars to buy the CX set if the weights are within a few grams. My first ride was a 70 mile endurance ride over flat to rolling terrain with both a head and tail wind of about 10-12mph. I can say that these wheels are not mountain climbers but are not overly resistant to climbing. I noticed that I had to put a bit more effort into climbing but once the pace slowed to a grind, the wheels were very responsive and would transfer energy on each pedal stroke if I was slack in my form. However, I believe the strength of these wheels is when you are at tempo or pressure pace. I didn't feel like I was gaining speed as much as I was holding it. The wind was varied in its direction throughout the ride and I only noticed on a few occasions that the wheels were pushed around due to large trucks or cross winds. If you are a solid rider you will not have any issues with the extra rim height. Overall, I am very pleased with these wheels from Fulcrum. I knew going into this purchase that these were not intended to be a upper level weight saving wheelset. I bought these wheels to beat on and to provide a durable piece of equipment to keep my down time minimized during training and riding. I believe that these will work nicely and fit the niche perfectly. As far as the price goes, I couldn't find anything to beat the deal. If so I would writing a different review.
