Great Wheelset & Great Service

I recently purchased the new Campy Zonda C17's In my opinion they are a great value for a great set of clinchers. They came in right at 1532 grams on my scales which is quite respectable. They are the new breed of wider inside width rims which allows you to run wider tires. These at 17mm I am running 700x25 Conti GP4000S II's & have to say these are very comfortable even on my aluminum frame. I was quite shocked on my first ride expecting a slightly harsh ride given the spoke pattern but I was very wrong. These wheels are stiff yes which is great but also very comfortable The quality is classic Campagnolo with excellent attention to details. The freehub on this one is quite quiet also which I like. The spoke tension was as perfect as any wheel I have had. I have been riding for over 30 years so I have owned a few other Campy wheels as well as DT Swiss, Mavic etc. & some custom builds. Given the exceptional price ProBikeKit is offering on these I would advise anyone looking for a great all around set of clinchers to grab a set. I would also like to say how very happy I was with ProBikeKit. I am very happy to have found them & just completed my next order for a crankset from them. They have great prices & great follow through on your order. Keeping you posted as to shipping, tracking etc. It is nice to find a bicycle shop that is passionate about teh business if cycling & it shows in all they do. I am happy to have found them & only wish I knew sooner. Thank You PBK

Awesome wheels!

I've owned a pair of 2015 Zondas and recently purchased a new bike and wanted to change the stock wheels. These are even better than the precious versions. Roll silently and forever and I've already set a number of pb's on my first ride with them. Best quality and value for money wheel in the market. Delivery from pro bike was quick and seamless. Buy with confidence.

Zonda C17 Wheelset

5

I checked with my local bike shop about the suitability of the Zonda wheelset for the roads here in Waterford, Ireland and got very positive feedback, when comparing the Zondas to a set of American Classics. Have had the wheels for a couple of weeks now and covered around 750km on them. I have to say that these are brilliant wheels for the roads, surfaces and terrain I encounter here in the South East of Ireland. Stiff, light enough to spin up very quickly, reasonably comfortable and remarkably quiet! I am running 25mm Continental GP 4000s II on the rims and the combination makes for a very fast, agile and supple ride. Looking forward to many more kms on these excellent rims. Highly recommended.

Stiff as a board

Fantastic set of wheels. Especially when considering the price. The Zonda's are light, stiff, quick and responsive. The braking surface is very grippy, even in the rain. Throwing these into a tight bend on the road isn't a problem. I felt no flex at all. Would recommend these wheels to anyone, as my friends will wearily attest.

Excellent Wheels

Bought these to replace a previous set of Zonda wheels which were on my road bike when it got stolen. These new wheels are just as brilliant as the previous ones but can take a larger tyre width if your frame can support them. I only use a 25mm wide tyre which is the same as I had on the previous set and they fit and ride really well. I like the subtle look of the wheels decals and like they are stiff wheels which transfer the power very well and are pretty lightweight for such a cheap wheel. I got an excellent bargain on the price and were the same price as the previous model Zonda wheels, so very! impressed, delivery was also excellent. Have ridden just over 100 miles on them so far and loving them as much as previous ones. Bring on the warmer weather so I can be out enjoying my bike and the excellent Zonda wheels some more. Highly recommend the wheels and Probikekit as a retailer.

As good as before

I already had the "old" Campy Zonda wheelset (also purchased from PBK), and frankly, I was very pleased with them. I put about 4000 miles on the old Zondas and they are still perfectly true and reliable (and at 102kg, I am not a light rider). But as I am getting up in years (55+), I wanted a bit of a break for my backside, and I wanted to run a slightly wider tire than 23c. The new C17 Zonda is more optimized for wider tires (the instructions even say that you can run up to 30+cm tires). The wider tires allow you to run lower pressures (hence a cushier ride). In practice, I will say that I can feel a slight difference, but not that much (maybe 5-10% more cushy?). That said, these wheels feel just as solid as the old Zondas, are just as true out of the box, brake just as well, and transmit all the power you can muster without flexing. For the reliability and performance, these are the best priced wheels on the market. The new all black look is very understated. These are not flashy wheels at all, but I am confident that they will get the job done, day in and day out for many years to come.
