Very fair price entry wheels

4

A good pair of entry level wheels at a very fair price. I am very happy with them to trick out my Pinarello to be all Campag :-) Ride well so far. Shipping was fast, arrived well packaged safe and sound.

It's Campagnolo enough said

If you are thinking of buying anything Campagnolo you know it is the best. I have been riding Campy since 1972. I ride nothing else. I bought these wheels for my daughter's bike. She loves them. They are almost silent when you coast. When she took the bike to a shop in New York City they all said they have a special place in their hearts for Campagnolo bikes. Like the title said it's Campagnolo enough said always five stars

Good hoops

Spent some time choosing these wheels. They have maybe 3 criticisms, none of which amount to much. First as alloy clinchers for rim brakes they are obsolete tech. Second, negative reviews online focus on the Sciroccos' excessive weight and, third their sticky / noisy freehub. Based on this purchase, none of these are an issue. My Campag rim brakes are fine; the weight difference is in reality negligible (compared to the tired Zondas they are replacing ); and the freehub, while initially a little "heavy" feeling when spun by hand, is in fact spinning perfectly once in place. In fact, having run them for a couple of weeks (and hit a massive pot hole with double puncture but zero effect on the wheels), I can recommend them as strong and reliable. In my view, the "dark label" version looks great too. Bargain.

20,000 mile review

4

Sturdy wheels that held up well to three years of riding year round in Boston. The bearings were still smooth and I only required one freehub replacement at about 8,000 miles. The steel freehub makes service easy. I replaced these with Zondas and noticed an improvement in speed and "feel" and would recommend the upgrade. However, the Zonda freehub uses faster, but less durable bearings, and an aluminum freehub which became notched in just 3,000 miles, so just keep the increased service requirements in mind.

Decent quality, good value

5

Needed a set of wheels to replace some old Campagnolo Khamsin ones from around 2009. They had done really well but showing their age. Didn't want to break the bank, saw these had a decent reduction in price. Arrived within a couple of days, perfectly packaged. They are reassuringly sturdy and hubs are so smooth. Bladed spokes, if you like that sort of thing. I don't suppose they will win many top ratings but I'm really pleased and they have exceeded my expectations.

Very beautiful but overweight

The wheels are very beautiful and I haven't used them yet, but my own weight reached 1960g. Even without the rim tape, it was more than 100g heavier than the official claim of 1755 (official website)!

Nice wheelset

I received the wheelset well-packed. I used it this weekend, and my initial impression is that it is a nice looking wheelset and absorbs bumps very well.

smooth rolling

5

I had read some other reviews mentioning these hubs were a bit noisy, and did notice the first few rides. The noise has quietened, though, and these seem much smoother rolling than the old Xero Lites that came with the bike (2008 Giant TCR-A1). No complaints after a few hundred miles, other than the paired spokes (not a fan), but knew they are trickier to adjust before I bought these. I only had to slightly tweak a few spokes for a true, round wheel after shipping. A good sale price made up for that small, occasional inconvenience.

Solid wheelset

5

Bought these as an upgrade for the RS500 stock wheels that came with my bike and have been really impressed. I already have a set of Zonda's which have been the most reliable wheels I have ever owned and the Scirocco's haven't disappointed. Have put almost 20,000 km and have had no spoke issues or the wheels go out of true. I currently have them on my cross bike and they can easily handle the trails and gravel roads. The weight is more noticeable over the Zonda's on sprints and climbs but other than they have been great wheels
