As a racing tyre has a smaller contact area, the composition of the rubber compound on both the tread and the sidewalls of the tyre is of the utmost importance. TriComp Technology® allows specific rubber compounds to be used in the applications for which they are most suited, resulting in a racing tyre with a very low rolling resistance and maximum grip in all weather conditions.

I love these tires! I train and race on them (in the old/fat/slow category!). I've put thousands of kilometres on them and they hold up well. I've ridden Gran Fondos/Sportives, training rides of all types (intervals, long distance, recovery), commuted and raced on these tires. I've never had a problem with punctures or traction. Given their durability, they still give a reasonably nice road feel. If you're not looking to swap rubber every time you head out for a different kind of ride, you should ride these tires!
Vredestein Fortezza road tyre
For sports riders, and road racers in training, these are great tyres. Economical when compared to tubulars, yet the Vredestein Fortezza has a comparable weight & rolling resistance. Highly recommended!
Good Grip, Comfortable, Sturdy.
I was looking for a durable tyre that will also perform in wet and slippery conditions. After several weeks of use and over 500km of riding they seem exactly what they advertised. Comfortable ride (i got the 25mm) and grip seems excellent. Even over some of the mossy damp roads at the top of the hills around Gold Coast Hinterland. Also,no punctures as yet - though 500Km is a bit early to say reliably. Mostly I just like them because they make the ride feel secure and resilient.
Strong all weather tyre
A good, supple, grippy tyres for all seasons. Running this on the front, has picked up a couple of nicks on London roads (so not a surprise) but not a puncture so far (400miles). During a recent downpour when the rear tyre was slipping pulling away from traffic lights and seated climbing anything over 8%, the Fortezza performed flawlessly. Supple and a great mixture of compounds, really make this tyre an all season option. The slight weight penalty was not noticeable over my 200g summer tyre. Very comfortable, quality, grippy tyre, really recommended!
