Gravel dabble

Tyres mounted easily, running tubes atm. with 50psi pressure. Roll easy and comfortable on poor surfaced roads and gravel tracks. Not much grip in mud but expected that anyway. Happy with them so far.

Seem good - comfy ride

4

These tyres seem OK. Was tricky to fit on "the hydra" rims. Shock pump not up to it needed a compressor to get them seated. Done 150 miles now and very comfortable and grippy.

Superior comfort Outstanding durability

Gravel King SK 38mm tires came stock on my gravel bike, set up with tubes. I decided to leave them with tubes until I get my first puncture, and then would repair and go tubeless. After 2000 miles I am still waiting for my first puncture. I ride these on mixed gravel to light single track and in all but the most loose conditions, they grip extremely well. With tubes, I'm running them at 50psi and they are amazingly comfortable. (I weigh 62kg) Extremely supple sidewalls are probably responsible for the awesome ride quality. The SK tread design strikes a perfect balance between excellent gravel grip and fast, nearly silent tarmac cruising. I thought that by the time I reached 2K miles the rear tire would need replacing but, honestly, it still looks barely worn. I am not a gravel expert; most of my riding is on road. I had read some rather poor reviews of the Gravel King SKs and thought I would be switching them out for something else, when the time comes. However, after 2000 miles of amazing performance and they are still going strong, I find no reason to look anywhere else. Great grip, super fast rolling and amazing comfort. Not to mention they are extremely puncture resistant. I am sold on this tire and can not recommend them highly enough. PS, mine are the tan sidewall version, I've read where the black sidewall version is a little more stiff in the sidewalls which makes them a little less compliant. I can't say from personal experience but it sounds believable.

Looks like a solid tyre

The tires look good and feel confident in different sort of terrains. I had difficulty setting them tubeless, right out of the box. The rims are Alex DH19, which work fine with tubeless setups, but these didn't work. I installed the tires with inner tubes and will try again soon to set them up tubeless. Haven't had the chance to ride many km with them yet, so this review is just my initial impression.

Gravel King for the win

Terrific tire! Tremendous upgrade to the stock tires Giant supplied with my 2021 Giant Revolt 0. Grippy, fast and extremely compliant in the gravel terrain I rode them on in southern Connecticut. Easy to install and no rim leaks. I'm 160lbs and ran them at 28psi. I'm impressed!

Decent tires

These replace the well-worn Bontrager 700C-38 LT2 Comps on my Trek DS3. Things I notice about the GKs: - definitely need the tire levers to mount, unlike the Bontragers (which weren't tubeless compatible). Mounted with tubes, the GK's are just under 36mm wide - I had to double check as they are labelled 38. The Bontragers measured just over 38mm. Very nice rolling tires, they feel more responsive and just more comfortable overall. They pick up much less gravel that the tires they replaced, and are quieter on pavement.

The product is just excellent! Love the tires!! Also, communication from Canada to UK with Pro Bike Kit was very good. Shipping time was exactly as quoted. I will be ordering through them again for sure. Josh (Canada)

Great all condition gravel tire.

The Gravel King SKs 38mm came installed on my gravel bike. They were set up with tubes and I have left them as a tubed setup. Might convert to tubeless if and when I need to replace a tube, but for now I'm keeping the tubes. I did install some slime sealant in the rear tube to hopefully prevent any ride stopping punctures. I generally run all my tube tires at the higher end of recommended PSI and these are no exception. I run them about 60psi, front and rear. I have found these tires to be extremely fast and quiet on the tarmac, very comfortable and great traction, wet or dry. On gravel, anything from smooth dirt single track, to small gravel and dirt fire roads and double track , to more aggressive gravel with golf ball to baseball sized rocks, these tires perform flawlessly. They have outstanding grip, even in the loose gravel and even at 60 psi, they roll fast and are very comfortable. After 200+ miles they show very little signs of wear and I have had no punctures. Given how well these tires perform, when it comes time to replace them, I will likely stick with the Gravel King SKs. I'm sure that tubeless and at lower pressures, they will only prove to be even better.
