Great value for money, tough and grippy, with low rolling resistance

The only bad thing we've found about Michelin’s almost-legendary Krylion tyre is that, for ages, it was hard to get hold of...Michelin claim it’ll run for 3000 miles, which we’ve already exceeded on our older sample, yet it was also fast in our roll-down tests and it’s barely heavier than many race tyres.

Excellent all--around tire.....nearly indestructible

I have many thousands of miles on these tires and I couldn't be happier. The rolling resistance is low, they ride good and they hardly ever flat. I have a minimum of 4 -5 thousand miles with these tires and have had 1 flat, which was due to the used wheel I had just purchased, not the tire.

Fast for a training tire and for around $ 37 they're a great deal.

Well over 5000 Klms

Approx. 6000 Klms 1000Klms on un-sealed roads and 2000Klms in the wet. Two flats caused by the same people who can boast that their only star act is throwing bottles out of car windows. No need to guess the brand the replacement tyres will be when the Krylions finally wear out. As with all slick tyres a higher level of care is necessary when the roads are very wet. Two replacements are on order as I write this review.

So far rides similar to Pro3Race and clearly tougher and thicker

I got three of the 23mm from Amazon and they are the ones made in France. I know some people have complained about some supposed problems with Michelin moving to Thailand and the tires from there - although Michelin says they moved their own equipment and they are the same...

They weighed about 245g, 250g, and 248g. They are look basically like thick versions of the Pro3Race.

Anyway, from the first ride on them they feel similar to the Pro3Race. I have ordered up some of the red and yellow ones from PBK. We'll see if they are made in France or the new ones. I presume the Amazon tires must have been older inventory.

It's obvious from the extra weight and the feel that these guys will be a lot tougher than the Pro3Race, and as the feel is similar they are 5 stars.

Right now I have a Krylion on the back and a Pro3Race still on the front.

Fantastic multi purpose tire

I picked up a set of these after shredding a set of Vittoria's on mixed pavement touring Asia. I was hooked, put about 8-9000km on some of the most challenging terrain. The ProRace3's are a good race day compliment to this tire, however 90% of my training is done on these tires. Surprising amount of grip even in the wet or on gravel, the only con I have found is that they don't come in orange.

after 4 years of everyday use on my commuting bicycle

You can't go wrong with these tires: they are the best i ever had. I have put more than 8000km on them, commuting in Montreal all seasons, cycloriding, and had 2 flats only in 4 years.

bullet proof

These tires are bullet proof , fast rolling and good looking tires. Its a bit tough to install on my fulcrum wheels but well worth the pain.. Install it and forget it..

I like it so much that I bought another pair..

excellent long life tyre

I have used these tyres for 3 years and done over 7000kms and they are now only just nearing their end.

These tires are great for spring time when the roads are dirty

Impressing how these are puncture resistant !

great long lasting tire

great tire, they feel fast and seem like they are bullet proof. i ran over cut glass numerous times in their 4000k life and only got 3 punctures in the last few k's. hard to get onto rims the first time but after that is easy. great value and great for training and racing
