GOODYEAR CONNECTOR ULTIMATE - heavier than stated but robust
Looking at cycling news I was expecting these (700x40) to be around 460g but on the kitchen scales they are 530g. - they are the weight of the cheaper Premium version, however both on the tire and the packaging it does say Ultimate. However, they do feel very robust and reliable - the side walls feel very strong / tough - so better to have a bit of extra weight and reliability than a cut side wall in the middle of no-where which the sealant can't fix (what happen with the Schwalbe G-One Allround that I was using). From CN: "The Ultimate uses the top-spec Goodyear Tubeless Complete carcass (the 'Premium' is the more affordable version) with a full bead to bead layer of R:Armor lightweight nylon protection to fend off cuts and scuffs. The 40mm version is still only 460g which puts it at the lightweight end of the spectrum (Premium is 540g). "
