Testers and Triathletes - You can’t go faster, can you?
The Grand Prix TT follows in the tracks of the time trial tubular tyre Podium TT: a pure time trial tyre for serious competitors. Its ambitions are already optically apparent. A slick centre tread profile ensures a few seconds are saved whilst the slightly roughened shoulders give that extra assurance on rougher B road bends. Particularly light thanks to a minimised tread and indescribably fast due to the latest “BlackChili Compound”.
Its Vectran™ Breaker protects reliably from the threat of punctures on rougher roads. Handmade in Germany – of course! A pure race tyre with reduced mileage.

I purchased the Continental GP TT's based upon two factors: 1) Previous experience with Continental tubular tires - all very positive 2) Vredestein does not currently manufacture the Fortezza TriComp Slick Although the tire is branded with a 23mm designation, the profile in vertical section is closer to a 25mm. The extra height created minimal clearance in the front fork. There is also a small hump, about 5 cm long on the left hand side of the tread section. The hump may or may not flatten over time. Presently, the vibration is enough of a concern at the Velodrome to move this tire to the rear wheel. This will be a "wait and see" process to determine overall quality.
