An improved version of an already great tire...
5I was skeptical that the GPS 5000 would be better than it's predecessor however, it is! Grip, rolling resistance and comfort all seem to be slightly better. Also, like the fact that they are more true to size than the GPS 4000SII. The best all rounder I've ever ridden...

2Pro Bike Kit is a great place to get the gear needed to ride, however the GP 5000 is nowhere near the same quality as the 4000ii. I can barely get over 1,500 miles before the sidewall of the tire begins to show thread, front and back.

5coming off from GP 4000, I did feel more stability and grip right away! Also felt like faster then other tires on a different bike! And we will see about durability, but so far so good! Great deal and amazing tire!

1As a few others have indicated, I had a sidewall flat which basically ruined the tire after only a month of use. In addition, the 5000 was the most difficult tire to remove that I have ever experienced. The 4000 was a much better prduct.

1Like other costumers describe the product arrived without any manufacturer wrapping/box. One tire failed on the third ride with it. Sidewall on one tire blew out/failed. I question if these tires are truly authentic or if they are refurbished tires or possibly knockoffs? Not pleased with quality of tires received.

5Having tried all makes and types of tyre iv'e now settled on the GP 5000 latterly 4000 the go to for all my bikes. The 28mm i'm reviewing now is an experiment. I put these on my what I describe as my fast road bike. There appears to be little or no difference in terms of grip or rolling resistance but with the extra width make a ride more comfortable.(experiment successful) These tyres will also deal with quite a wide range of surfaces. Great tyre.

5I've been using GP 4000's 25mm for a long time and upgrade to the GP 5000's 25mm. I'm very happy with my decision to stay with Continentals. They roll quicker then the 4000's in my opinion. They feel softer as well. For the price they're being sold at the time of my review you can't go wrong. I would highly recommend them.

5Impressed with these tyres. I have for many years ran only Vittoria but opted on these when on special to try. Using for club racing. Have rode in varied road conditions and so far tyres have been 100% reliable. Using 25c size. They roll nice for my 65kg when inflated 100psi. Recommend.
